Oddschecker of course. Italy do much better than UK too in the bettings right now. The question is: WHY?

Yes Nike. Loreen is still on top at oddscheckers.

Yes Nike. Loreen is still on top at oddscheckers.

PURPLE is the BAD color!! And look how much purple Sweden has. Unlike Italy who has much BLUE color.

Once again:

PURPLE= odds drifting = BAD
BLUE= odds shortering= GOOD

Well it's still 4 times higher than Loreen. It just shows this will be a tight race which is good. Loreen and the Swedish team is trying something totally different this time and hopefully it works but you never know.

I bet none saw Moltiva as a favorite back in 2008 and considering Ryback he's just the perfect mixture of east and west plus folk music which is what ESC has been all about before. That Loreen really touched his heights is actually a great honor.

But I can't understand it. Italy was the major disappointment today. She looked ill and her vocals was bad.

BLUE= odds shortering
PURPLE=odds drifting

Which means blue is the best color. Now look which country has most BLUE!!! Italy. And look at Sweden...much PURPLE! Once again, WHY?

Pffffff! Come on! Sweden is at less than 2 and you complain about the 7 or 8 of Italy? Be serious! xrofl3 Sweden has nothing to fear.
As for the blue at Italy, I think it's quite simple: Italy is in the last batch of entries to rehearse. Rehearsals mean more visibility, and that brings more people to bet on you. I'm sure it happened the same for Sweden and for every other entry, when they had their first rehearsal.

Azerbaijan:
That was a truly magical performance! The effect with the fire dress is great and she delivered the song on the highest standard. The only thing I wasn't too happy with is the voices that the guy who was sitting at the back was making. I think Azerbaijan can be a contender for another win.

Sweden:
I liked her outfit. It's different. I didn't like what I heard though. There was fair bit of mumbling here and there. She better get her act straight if she wants to do really well.

United Kingdom:
I liked this one, very much. I thought his vocal performance was great. The dancers in the background did a great job and we did see some elements of waltz and foxtrot. Overall, a great job and a very nice background.

Turkey:
This looks crazy, but great. I hope this will walk over Georgia easily. I am glad the hearts are gone. It looks much more polished now and definitely memorable.

This has actually more to do with Loreen than Italy. Loreen's odds got higher bc of her dress and show. Italy will probably get a lot of points just bc they're back in the game again just like last year where they finished second. This year they have a great starting position in the final as well.
It's not a fair game to start with, it's politics just like in the Ukrainian voting ;)

Moreover, things will definitely change after the second semi-final. Loreen might get crazy high odds then or vice versa. It's just a guessing game as it is now.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012: REHEARSALS (vote in the poll for your fave from DAY

Here is my review of Day 7

:sl: Vocally, it's great, but sounds flat to me. She has a shot at qualifying though
:hr: If this is the dress Nina will wear on Thursday, I'm down for it. The staging is wonderful. I just hope it doesn't get lost in the voting
:se: Nice new outfit, first of all, but overall again, too predictable. Being seen as the hot favorite, it will be chaos if this doesn't qualify.
:ge: Having seen past videos of Anri's performance, I'm not surprised. He knows how to put on a crazy show, and that is bonus for me. Realistically, it won't go through, but US$5 tells me this is going through
:tr: Much better than the first. Very cute guys there. If this doesn't qualify, I'll be pissed.

:de: So why is this a favorite? Like the song, the performance is flat. Vocally, he's good, but I'm not just feeling it
:fr: Is Anggun trying to out-hot-guy Can on hot guys? Solid, but needs more fluency. Other than that, great performance
:it: A really good start for Italy. There's a reason why she's second in the betting odds. Out of all the finalists, the best one. I will admit, though, that she needs more work on it, but she should do fine.
:az: Impressive first rehearsal. This ballad has been in my favorites since it first came out, and I expect nothing less from Azerbaijan
:es: Even though I'm not a full-fledged fan of this song, I'm impressed with Pastora's voice, but the backings are just ruining it slightly. Still, I expect at least a Top 15 or better.
:uk: Some songs sound better with a lower tempo live than in studio (i.e. Moldova 2010 > France 2011). This isn't it. But I like the dancing. It enhanced the song like in Dancing With the Stars (after all, that's where the show originated as Strictly Come Dancing). And nice backdrop. But Engelbert has to be careful with the lower tempo. It killed Moldova 2010 and France 2011... at least in scoring.

Gimme a break. Loreen won't qualify? Have you been living under a rock.. aha, you're from the US. Let me inform you that she's been in europe top 20 in sales with "Euphoria" something that's never happened BEFORE the contest. There's no way she won't be in the final.

dezbee2008 never said that Sweden wouldn't qualify, just that there would be uproar if it (hypothetically) didn't. Which is true.

Azerbaijan and Spain were the most impressive of the day in my opinion. Italy was good too. It's a shame about Engelbert's vocal performance, but considering his age it's great. (Just hoping juries won't forget about this :p )

The odds of Loreen not being in the final are the same as Humperdinck not being in the final.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012: REHEARSALS (vote in the poll for your fave from DAY

I just read that one of the Youtube servers went down in the United States, due to the overwhelming views of Eurovision rehearsal videos today.

After some research Youtube has discovered that all the requested traffic was for one video in particular, the first rehearsal of Roman Lob in Baku, and came from one particular address in Los Angeles.

........... pure coincidence.................

Look my swedish friend; I love your entry and I really hopes it wins
but with an attitude like that, you will offend people:)

Still Italy was weak today. She looked even ill. I'm the only one who noticed that? So why it's shortering???

Italy's is dull, dull, dull. Sad, because it's one of the best songs hands down, but they're not selling it at all, I really think the delegation is resting on its laurels from last year assuming the juries will instantly carry it to top 5, but the way it looks now, I'd say bottom of the top 10 is more likely, if that.

Spain and Azerbaijan both wowed vocally, but Sabina's song pops more visually right now where Spain is just a lot of impressive notes. I've felt all along Azerbaijan were being seriously underestimated and if they weren't defending champs they'd be seriously considered a threat to win this thing. This is the best song they've sent since "Always" so I can easily see another top 5 or even 3 finish.

Why you son of a b***,? You didn't read my review correctly? I think you need to hide in shame because you, sir or madam, have twisted my words. :twisted:

Read again. I think you're the one hiding under the rock when you read that. :lol:

P.S. I'm actually glad I'm getting noticed here. In fact, I get these comments all the time on my videos from people in Europe who usually don't agree with me. "You're from the US", "You don't know nothing about Eurovision", etc, so this idiot's comments is nothing new. I know I'm smarter than them. xrofl3
