Without tickets it's not gonna be worth it for me :( too expensive. I'll most likely have to root for a Portugal/Spain surprise win this year to try again next year... or get some luck with the fan to fan thing. xcry

At least there is EIC!!!

How are people reselling already? lol
Not that I'm gonna. Unless i somehow get my hands on one of the GF tickets.
But i just went to my account on tm wanting to add the ticket to my wallet, and it's not yet available. (resell button is greyed out too, i'm assuming for the same reason)

haha I'm so used to the old name for it! :ROFLMAO: The evening preview show/first rehearsal
i don't think this name will die down soon.

Here in Chicago it's still Sears tower, no matter what the official tour guide says:ROFLMAO:

I have a problem with this year 's contest: I like a lot of songs, but I can't see an Eurovision winner among the songs I like. Tbh, I don't have a song which gives me strong winner vibes but maybe it's only me...

Finland is among the favourites, but I can see Käärja struggling with the Juries in the Final, Norway is a personal favourite, but has basically the same problem, Czech Republic can be an outsider, but it could be seen too dark of an entry to succeed, Austria is catchy, so I can see why it has a lot of bubble support even though I dislike it, but realistically will flop with the Juries, Germany is not jury material at all, Spain, France and Italy will be boosted by Juries, but downgraded by televoters, Serbia is totally a televoting pleaser, but I'm not so sure it will impress juries... I think the discrepancies between Televoting and Jury vote will be huge. And I can go on. Maybe one thing is true: if Loreen wins Mello, only her can lose the contest (even if Euphoria was million times better than Tattoo), because it is one of those songs which can do equally well with both televoters and juries.

Couldn't it be viewed as a positive that there isn't a clear winner (yet)? It leaves the contest open and gives a lot more excitement for who will win.
I, personally, love that it isn't obvious who will take it home. (I'm rooting for Finland.)

Last year, it was pretty clear Ukraine would win. No surprise whatsoever. And I remember in '12 and '13 how it was clear who the winner would be even before the contest had started because all the buzz had been centered around Loreen and Emmelie in those years.

I much prefer it like this, with no clear winner and thus everyone could be the winner. :D

So, um, I've been doing some thinking about this year's voting system...

The official words are: "...for the first time ever, those watching in countries not taking part in the competition will also be able to vote for their favourite songs online."

Does that open a door to vote in the semifinal that your country doesn't take part in? Could I go online and vote in semi 1 because my country doesn't take part in it? Or do they mean the competition overall?xshrug

I know it's most likely the latter, but I can't help wondering if there's a small opening in the doorway...

^^ The EBU really needs to clarify it!

I think that the "Rest Of The World" voting is reserved for countries which don´t participate at all (and won´t be open to other participations of the other semi final)., though but you´re right - it hasn´t been clarified yet.

A VPN is an easy way around that too though…

I thought it had already been said that what mattered is where the card that you are using to vote (as a rest of the world person) is registered rather than the IP

I must have missed this debate.

Card you use to vote? I know not every country has the same way of voting, but I've never heard of a card -?
