OK peeps. I have decided to officially dip my toes into this year's edition after going off the Eurovision radar due to last year's horrendous experience. I also decided not to follow any National Selection this year, just want this year to be exceptionally chill. Just visiting the threads to see the updates periodically since early this year.

I have also just listened to the selected entries based on the Spotify playlist, I know some songs will undergo revamps etc, but I can't believe after going through 17 songs and I have yet found one I actually like or pique my interest in this year's contest. Seems like I didn't miss much after all? Let's hope the remaining entries will turn the situation around for me.

Why so many hosts again? Is it really necessary to have so many when the majority of what they do is saying "The next country is..." and "Can you give us your twelve points please?"

I’m predicting Alesha in the Green Room with Hannah and Julia being the main hosts with Graham diving in and out - he’s still commentating in part!

We need fun green room hosts. 2018 was great in that regard and the last time (maybe only time?) I remember caring about green room interviews.

Someone like Alison Hammond would've been great. I hope Hannah or Alesha can fill that role. Julia is probably a main stage host.

I would have loved Alison Hammond on green room duty running around and having a laugh with everyone. Shes works for ITV so it was a bit of an unrealistic choice

Alesha is my lip sync queen.

And so is Hannah

The guest judges from the two most iconic lip syncs, I can't face it.

These are also 2 of my fave lip syncs on UK drag race
Bloody love Dakota & Vanity!!

We need a lip sync at the interval

These lip syncs were absolutely fabulous and the guest judges made them even better! I can't believe that both of them are here to host. Graham is of course a permanent judge on DRUK, but he is low key unimpressive.

Just the fact that all 3 'home' presenters have been a judge on DRUK, simply iconic. Now to get Julia on!!!

You know who'd suit the best to host? Anne Robinson!
Ok, she's quite old already, but imagine her saying on stage in Liverpool: "You're ALL pathetic, but .... are the weakest link! Goodbye!"

A few thoughts about the presenters...

The presenter line-up is a bit bizarre.

I don't know much about the Ukrainian woman, but Hannah and Alesha aren't known for presenting?

It would also made more sense to have two Ukrainian and two UK hosts?

If Graham won't do the semis and will still commentate... Then why bother?

Rylan and AJ are RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!

I was SURE it would be Graham Norton and a female presenter and... That's it.

Anyhow, I'm sure it'll all be fabulous. It's just a bit surprising, especially from the BBC.

I like Norton very much, but c'mon... What's wrong with that guy who hosted the allocation show? Don't remember the name, but at least in my opinion, highly suitable. Let the younger generation to the picture!
And yeah, since it was first announced that UK is going to host (with Ukraine), I always thought that the hosts would be split, too. Sounds kinda fair, right?
But what to do... We can b..tch about it all we want, the decisions are made nevertheless. Let's enjoy the shows in May then xcheers

IIRC Rylan wanted to stick to commentary, not sure if it's his decision or BBC's but that's that

Julia is the lead singer of the band The Hardkiss, they participated in Vidbir 2016 losing to Jamala on a tiebreaker

Alesha has done some presenting work, most recently 2 seasons of the BBC talent series The Greatest Dancer
