The stage looks big enough, yet people on Twitter/Reddit still complain about the size even after seeing people walking on it.

Interesting that "probably half of the lineup" will be using the oval stage, might be the biggest number of countries using the B stage ever.

I can watch that shiny clean HD floor all day xlove

On a separate note, I supposed they will have controls to like restrict one card to one account? If not, people can just create multiple accounts to vote online with one credit card. But I am sure some users will have multiple credit cards so they can create different accounts to vote, just like some people may have multiple SIM cards.
Usually, multiply bank accounts are tied to one mobile number.
If you want to verify yourself with a credit card/Bank ID in Ukraine, you can enter any card of yours and the system will still recognize you. Thus, if you vote in the state app Diia or on some site, no matter how many cards you use only 1 vote will be counted.

As :il: is celebrating 50 years at the ESC their first representative Ilanit (1973) will announce their :12: this year.

A fantastic debut if you ask me. xmusic

Oh yes. I love the song. Israel is probably my favourite ESC country in the 70s and 80s! Always such great songs!

Anyway, putting this out here for those who wants to know how much does it cost to vote in your country.

Interesting that Israel has moved to online voting too. Think it's their first time?

The error these always show is that the UK doesn't have SMS voting, one is for landlines and the other is for mobiles - both calling.

No, Russian credit card system is not working in the EU since Council's regulation (sanctions) disconnecting Russia from SWIFT. Virtually no EU bank receives payments from Russia.
but some Belarusian cards still work. there's even a new trend in Russia: credit car travel. people open accounts in Belarusian banks and use them for foreign transactions.
not all banks, not all receiving platforms, but the sanctions are like a cheesecloth...

We are playing soft spot strategy with Belarus so that they stop lend-leasing program of their territory to attack Ukraine from the North. I'm OK with that. Whether Russians are OK with the fact that we hold Potato Dictator with higher regard than their dictator, that's up to them to judge. As the oligarchs admitted in the phone calls we had taped: It's over, Russia doesn't exist as of February 2022. Good riddance btw.

As for EBU, it's hypocritical to claim that expulsion of Russia from the ESC was some expression of their values. Especially as they allowed Polina Gagarina, Putin's propagandist, to sing "for peace" amids Donbas war. 🤣

The truth is that the EU Council adopted regulation banning broadcasting of Russian state media and even "private" ones in the EU such as Russia Today.

Had EBU continued to cooperate with Russian broadcaster and allowed it to participate, EBU would have been sanctioned for violating EU sanctions.

Therefore those who ask whether and how could Russia return to the contest - let's say never until the war ends and whole Putin's regime finds its spot on a graveyard.

Train strikes have just been announced on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th May - FYI those looking to travel. We’re having to think of a plan B now

great...
I'm not gonna get into the strike reason and vent at that...
but that just solved my question. I'm staying in Southport and with the Saturday show ending at least half an hour after the last train leaves (and then Sunday morning first train is at 8 or smth) I was considering finding a watch party in Southport for the grand finale...
that makes that decision easier...

We're having to change our travel day to Wednesday, stay overnight and attend SF2 afternoon show and leave straight after for London. So frustrating, we wanted to see Jamala in the village too. Also we have to pray that the hotel will store our luggage til at least 4-4:30pm
