EUROVISION 2020 - General Discussion Thread

Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia in the 1st semi, we are in the 2nd semi. LOL

But the first semi is with Sweden, Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan, Australia, Norway.. :O So, maybe not bad..

Semi 1 looks the much tougher semi because of those countries you've mentioned. Of course, we know it's possible to slip up but they're all generally very competitive Eurovision countries. You expect them to take places in the final. Semi 2 meanwhile looks very open. Denmark are probably the most consistent in the second semi, and then there's Greece who have a good qualification record but have been struggling. Same for Armenia. Bulgaria I'd say are to be feared most here as they're super serious about this whole Eurovision thing lately, but it really very much feels open otherwise. My senses tell me this semi is going to be the fun one, semi 1 meanwhile could end up very tryhard.

The first semifinal is STACKED, like... Russia, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Australia, Hooverphonic, Sandro and possibly Destiny Chukunyere? Lithuania WITH Ireland and Norway present? Tough pickings.

The second semi is very open by contrast.

's draw is pretty tragic tbh. Other than and maybe , I don't see many points from the others. WE HAVE TO SEND A SUPER BOP COME ON TVR

From semifinal 2, Denmark is definitely the most regular one but there is neither Sweden nor Germany, so don't know if they are that safe, since until now their NF songs have been quite disappointing tbh

This is a pretty healthy mix-up. Some remarkable features that I like is:
1. APART!

3. has less privilege now that is on the other side

6. in the same semi
7. The SF2 is the most comfy one with mostly moderate placers
8. Eventhough SF1 looks really cluttered with big players, SF2 can be the place where all fun begins.

What I am concerned of:
1. losing and getting drawn in the first half
2. in the first half so they better bring something real good (plus is not there for them )
3. Even if will send shit they might probably qualify since is there
4. is in a weak spot in my opinion
5. and might fade away
6. can have some points from but I don't think that's enough

For the allocation draw, semi 1 is PACKED with power houses so kinda exited about voting in that semi. Also glad Belgium is in our semi as Hooverphonic is promising

Or it could be semi 2 of 2018 aka the damp squib show all over again. But let's hope it will be stronger this time.

Judging by the flags, I'm more interested in semi 2 because underdogs always are my faves.

3. We were referring to the semifinal so for the televotes in 2017: 2p and in 2018: 8p and 7p . Although we also have to count the juries, which in 2017: 12p and in 2018: 10p and 10p
4. It's true, although I'm referring to the fact that they're in the first half. But if they will send a Dream Team song maybe they can get some few points from , perhaps?
