There will also be no international superstars (ie: Justin Timberlake, Madonna, etc.) as interval acts according to the music director of this year's contest - they will be Dutch acts. He also teased that Duncan will be doing a "very special" performance
Good that we got rid of the random-American-singer-comes-for-promo nonsense. Apparently, they invited every Dutch representative ever to join the party, and if that is true, I'm so glad they did that because I so wanted a host to have that idea and pay tribute to their participation in the contest overall, regardless of individual results.
A medley of songs with as many Dutch entrants as possible would be cool imo.

This is true actually. All living former contestants are invited to the grand final in Rotterdam. It hasn't been confirmed or denied though that they're only invited as guests to attend to final, or that they're actually planning on having an interval act with them. My guess would be that there is gonna be a medley with Dutch entries, or that we're going to see the contestants at least

I plan on being in London again this year so that was my vote, they need to hurry up with the ticket sales though

All pots except pot 4 are fine. Pot 4 looks like "okay we got these remaining countries how about we mash them together"
I have the exact same feelings about the Pot 5
Both Pot 4 and 5 have only a few of the neighbouring countries, but while the Pot 4 is simply "southern and mostly Mediterranean countries", Pot 5 is just scattered all across the map

The Problem with Portugal is that it doesn't have any neighbour competing in these semis + it doesn't have an ally at all (apart from Spain maybe). However, it totally makes sense to let Portugal be part of the same pot like Romania (or Moldova) since it usually votes heavily for these countries based on diaspora. The same applies to Ireland be stuck to Poland/Lithuania's pot and Switzerland being treated as an Ex-Yugoslavian country xD + in recent years,, Portugal kinda heavily votes for Cyprus (Top 3 in 2015 in the semi, for example).
