I think Czech Republic will return next year. They are showing interest at least, which is a change from the previous years.
Malta: National final on November 22nd | ESCunited.com
OMG!! Malta's national final is almost 6 months before the contest, it will maybe be the first song we know from 2015!!!
I think (now don't hate me) for the 60th anniversary we should do something drastic, change the big 5. Luxembourg, Monaco, Andorra, San Marino and the Vatican should be given a fast pass to the final, that should be fun!
How about no. For the 60th Song Contest their should be no semi's and just go straight to the grand final. Like before. But I don't think that will happen.
I think that for 60th anniversary EBU must do something new for the contest. For example, to invite worldwide artists to perform or to allow also non-European countries to take part if they want.
Invite worldwide artists for what exact purpose? As interval/opening acts then? What do you mean with "worldwide" that they are famous worldwide or just artists from around the globe? Not sure I get the point, but isn't the whole idea that there's an honor for a country/broadcaster winning this and a chance for them to showcase themselves and hosting it on their terms?
Also I disagree with the last point aswell, EUROvision should be kept EUROvision... I don't think celebrating 60years of ESC should be done by turning it into Worldvision...
I mean artists that are famous worldwide, like Madonna for example.
As much as I love Madonna, that would be very random
I feel like that would undermine the whole winning->hosting idea of ESC and only be done to draw some attention to the show which would be unrelated to the concept.
But with this way, ESC will be even more popular worldwide, so it will increase the attention, countries that don't participate, they will, (like for example Czech Republic) and also it will be very positive for EBU and the host countries to earn more money from advertisements.
