There are many reasons for that, and most of them are not related to lack of quality. In general, we don't have the winning mindset in soccer atm, unfortunately. It's a psychological problem + there are usually internal conflicts inside the squad or on the relation between the Football Association (which is corrupted as hell, btw) and the coach, or between the Football Association and some players. Compared to our basketball team, for example, the soccer team looks ridiculous.
That being said, we are trying to change some things, we are standing well so far in World Cup 2022 qualifications and if we keep up like this, there is a chance that we may qualify to Qatar, which would be a great success.
