I'm gaining more hope for this doing well, because it really is a good year to send a ballad. But she just is a superstar. At the very least I am happy when we send people that are not only a big talent, but just good people as well. E.g. Stefan might not have done super super well and Jüri Pootsmann tanked lol, but they are talented, lovely people and awesome personalities and deserved the chance to be on that stage. Alika is a great singer and she has a strong team backing her, but there is something really likeable about her as a person as well and it's always nice to see these types of people succeed.

I love me a good female ballad, but ugh not this. This is a show-off act, although the voice is not even very pleasant, the colour of her voice is not for me, and there is a lack of warmth, heart or soul, whatever you call it. Very generic, too loud. Compared to Estonia 2013, this loses by a mile. I am not sure about their Q chances. Songs like these usually need a jury to save them. I don't know what she sings about because she enunciates poorly.

1 point.

Rank 3 on my Baltic Top 3.

I suppose there's not much news to discuss until we get closer to May. Well, there was confirmation the self-playing piano is coming along! There was some FB post about getting it ready for shipping. I suppose that means our staging will probably be fairly similar to Eesti Laul. I hope they can make the best of improved lighting and LED screens and whatnot tho'. Classy yet striking, simple yet memorable. Anything to make the complete package stand out in a positive way and not get lost among the crowd. :giggle:

Guess we might get some pre-party videos soon too. :D Meanwhile, Alika's been keeping busy, taking part in a TV show where famous singers sing songs from different genres. Two episodes in so far, with disco and rock as the themes. The list of singers should be pretty familiar to most Eurovision/Eesti Laul fans. Alika, Stefan, Elina Nechayeva, Getter Jaani, Jaagup Tuisk, Synne Valtri, Peeter Oja. Only one complete unknown (Tõnis Sarap), but I wouldn't be surprised if we see him in some Eesti Laul future edition too. Last show, Jaagup Tuisk even sang Zitti E Buoni, and Stefan did Cool Vibes. Clips are up on Kanal 2 Youtube page, unless they're geoblocked outside Estonia. :giggle:

I think they should bring back the wet hair look for Eurovision and make her whole look a bit more ethereal, I think it would work very well with the atmosphere of the song.

I'm very bored by this song. I think it will qualify, but I wouldn't be shocked if it NQd.

Her odds to qualify have been drifting a lot since pre-parties, from a safe qualifier to very borderline with Greece overtaking her.

Nice and classy. 7 points.

Now I feel the relief of having finally listened to all the songs. :giggle:
