Somebody from the ESC fandom told me that the song gives really strong "Voilà" vibes. I actually didn't think of it before, but it really does in some way!
Anyway, that comment made my day

To be honest I think she will be Jüri Pootsmann of this year - Bridges is equally unmemorable. I went through all ballads of last 10 years that qualified by televoting and all of them are superior to Bridges in my opinion

Well looking at the other countries/songs in the semi I don't really think she will fail to qualify except if she really flops live in May and that probably won't happen

i wonder a lot here.
you are estonian!
estonia has never had a better voice at the ESC and this ballad fits her superior voice(range) perfect.
this is symbiosis in perfection.
if estonia can take the cliff named semi all is possible and i mean all - voila meets adele but unique in my opinium.
so the best i can say - just be proud of your performance.

I'm waiting to get all the songs before I make up my mind about her chances. I certainly don't expect her to be a televote winner, but she only needs to beat 6 songs to make the final. That doesn't sound impossible, at least on paper! But we'll have to see what other songs we go up against. :giggle: If they don't completely muck up her staging, I think her odds are better than Jüri's, but who knows. Hard to gauge what the general audience will think of her. She was always one of the two big favorites in Eesti Laul, even among eurofans, so we can't say she has no support at all outside Estonia. Whether that will translate into votes come May tho'.. who knows! As long as she made the final, I'd be happy. :giggle: Juries would probably save us from bottom 5 and a mid-table result would be perfectly serviceable.

I think Jüri would have done better too, with less crap staging & less creepy performance. Probably not well enough to qualify, but not "dead last" kind of bad! Alas, his already borderline chances were completely vaporized on stage. Would have been interesting to see what his result would have been with the EL performance. We can only hope they won't have Alika doing card tricks on stage if we can't bring the piano.

i have seen meanwhile tons of this so named "reaction videos" (mostly for spain, germany, estonia - yes ollie and other acts too, czechian, lithuanian, serbian and croatia songs) - i think, there is a good reason to be quite optimistic - she will made an impact at many people - it touches,it immediately gets under your skin - maybe it needs also 2-3 hearattempts (like me in 2019 with lilly among the clouds/surprise) but time is there.
some comments going also into the adele or "voila" direction.
check also this friendly reaction video - good channel for this ESC things, too.

This song has finally clicked with me (after watching the Honest Vocal Coach react to it, lol). It's really a nice Eurovision ballad. Not on the same level as my favorite ballads (A Million Voices, Undo) but it's good and it helps that this year doesn't have a lot of ballads.

I guess everyone has seen it by now, but I wanted to keep Estonia on the 1st page in this forum :sneaky:
Plus, this performance (her vocals and the song together) gets me sobbing every time I watch it...

OK, my first toilet break for the season. Snoozefest all over. Usually I don't mind ballads, but this is so beige that there is nothing for me to latch on. A :3:.
Ok, where the f*** did you come from? I had to check my 10+ e-mails just to see you whining on EVERY song this year?
Thanks for your opinion. Anyway!
