I am saying it clearly:
Ιn the Super Final the gap between Tanja and Maybe-Maybe was very small (53%-47%),
so small that the russian votes affected the result.

Great then, thanks Russians!

Yeah, but it isn't a problem
Estonians love Tanja!

I never stated anything else (if Estonians love Tanja is nothing I can speak on).

I just said that GRE might have a point that could be taken into consideration, I didn't say that she only won base on that though... if Estonia is happy with the choice then good for them.

And I already stated that I much prefer her to that crappy runner-up... though I feel other songs were robbed in the contest.

Traffic and Sandra in particular xcry1

I don't think it influenced the results. Don't try to justify the results in that way NONO

And if Russians would suddenly control the votings, they would have put Russians in Eurovision every year, like Victoria (who couldn't speak a word of Estonian) or anyone else...

Exactly. Victoria even had a small campaing, local Russian radio stations advertised her as "nashe decotchka" (our girl). She receive half as much televotes as Getter Jaani. Another Russian (Jana Kask) did even worse that same year.

If anything, I think local Russians would not vote for Tanja because she's too pro-Estonia.

Hmm... too pro-Estonia??

Yes. She's fluent in Estonian, works with Estonians, her boyfriend is Estonian, thinks everybody living in Estonia must learn Estonian, etc.

From an interview done in 2006:
I feel like "svoy sredi chuzhikh, chuzhoy sredi svoikh" (friend among strangers, stranger among friends). Five years ago I knew I was Russian, now I don't know.

Sven Lõhmus (writer/producer of Rändajad and Kui tuuled pöörduvad) said Super Hot Cosmos Blues Band was his favourite.

Whatcha haters gonna do now?

Still a bad song regardless of what Sven says xshrug

Anyways, I come to the conclusion that Traffic was the best in the Estonian selection this year (Sandra second best).

Sandra was pure crap and the juries were very clever not to buy it. Never mind Randajad, these things do not often repeat themselves. Resignal from Wilhelm was great, if you were looking for quality and difference. Fur Elise was indeed very good. That chorus sticked to your brain in the most delightful manner, shame it wasn't picked.
The Hot Cosmos thing was also excellent, even though it was American inspired - something I don't like very much in this contest but still.
Korsikud would also have been a good, honest and pleasant choice. And Nion had a piece of really great energy pop, pity they stayed in their semi.

^^ High five! When the members of jury were revealed before the final I actually thought everything was set for Sandra's victory. Owe Petersell, who with one exception had been in every previous EL jury but was a big fan of Kui tuuled pöörduvad, was missing. Instead there were people like Getter Jaani, another "product" of Sven Lõhmus, and Ott Lepland, who chose Sandra Nurmsalu as his duet partner when he was competing in Estonian Idol, but even they didn't give many points to Sandra.
