Does anyone know how the jury placed Valedetektor? I've been obsessed with that song all 2012
I really want it to win

Wasn't in their top5 but made it to the final, so it must had been 6th or 7th I think. Jury in the final will probably be different than in the semis.

and I certainly DO hope they change the jury for the better... I definitely didn't expect a song like 'Valedetektor' to score that low with the jury..?

I think he has Atleast I hope so.

Meeeh!... and of course my fave HAS to be the first act of the show, while my biggest fear "Kuula" (still don't understand why people like it) has to be the last one. Now it even looks like the broadcaster is trying to "fix" the victory for Ott Lepland :shock:
This doesn't bode well, imo...

So much as I've seen the polls around the newspaper sites are Lenna and Ott the biggest favourites.
But because of jury, everything can happen.
I'm gonna vote for Ott anyway. Thinking about Pop Maniacs too, but this song wont bring us anywhere. But I still like it

My opinions about the finalists:

- "Kuula" is too flat for me and i cant exactly imagine its on-stage show, so i don't believe in it's success in ESC.

- Lenna's song is good and might bring good place, but it is missing something. (Maybe it is just too slow for me)

- Loss Paranoias song is really energetic and great, but i suspect that other songs in ESC semifinal might just overrun it...

- Teele's song reminds me somewhat of 90's disco era, and the song would fit perfectly in it. As for ESC i think it would bring something different from others. If they improve the show then it can be really impressive.

- Liis has great song and looks. Its atmosphere seems like blues-lounge, the sax player only adds to it. This might also be something fresh in ESC.

- Tantsulõvi seems like winner to me, it has all what it needs- great show, great vocals and i hope that even these improve for Saturday. Winner for me

- POP Maniacs also has a good song but i feel sorry for Rosanna who just seems like she has got lost in all this latex and fetish stuff

- Traffic seems the weakest in all these, their song just cant put up with all other songs...

- Tenfold Rabbit is also one of the winner candidates- it has strong vocals and good melody, and somehow it reminds me of Hurts

- Birgit's song is good but what annoys me is that where are these "real" violina girls?


And my points would be:

To me "Kuula" is the epitome of a meaningless fan-hype-favourite. What a disaster it would be if Ott Lepland won. Not only are there better songs in the final, but out of all these interesting and innovative songs, people choose the most conservative and old-fashioned as their favourite
The other fave, Lenna, has a much better song imo, but even "Minna Jään" is a bit old-fashioned compared to some of the other songs.
Don't miss this chance Estonia! Even if it will effect your result in Baku, I wish people would risk voting for something INNOVATIVE. What a waste of good songs...

we never know.. So far it looks pretty good for Ott. But i just don't understand why anyone can favor "Kuula" over so many other songs. There have been so many interesting songs in Eesti Laul, imo...

Running order draw was a public event. Nobody is trying to fix anything. And Ott has been one of the public favorites since 15th December when semi-finalists were announced.

I think its the taste difference. That's why I love it, you not. Or maybe he should sing in English...don't know.
