In the end it's about taste, I never said that having something "simple" and more poppy is something bad, but I just can't find myself liking this song and that's just it.
Also my main reaction is people making this song look like something it is not. It is not very modern or unique, it's just a simple pop-dance tune and that's it.
As for Aqua Lene it's more the tone of her voice than if she can sing or not I mean, that's also a matter of taste and opinion.
One thing do: Do not put that MASTERPIECE Urban Symphony send next to this plastic stuff, and Urban Symphony was not "just a ballad", it was a unique mystic ethnic song.. by far not your everyday Eurovision ballad. And why using Urban Symphony as a bad example? It gave Estonia one of its best position ever in this contest.
A absolutely agree that "Rändajad" is an amazing song, but I simply brought it up as an example how almost perfect songs like this are not good enough to win. Still, 6th place was a very good achievement. I think we all know that "Rockefeller Street" is a completely different song and it's not supposed to be all serious and meaningful. Sven Lõhmus, the author of both "Rändajad" and "Rockefeller Street", knows this and that's how it works. Keep it fresh, keep it new, don't do the same thing all over again, try something else. We're not as stupid or shallow here as it may seem...
