Re: ESC United LIVE from Stockholm - Tonight: Semi Final 1 LIVE SHOW (Discussion Thread)

Good morning everyone, I'm new here on the forums. Anyway, I missed the semi-final yesterday due to my football training, could anyone explain what happened with Estonia and Iceland, two of my 5 favourites? I heard from some of you that both performances were a let-down?

Welcome to the forum xwelcome

Estonia was an expected semi casualty but I'm still shocked about Iceland. With that draw and performance I was sure it'd be top 3 in the semi.

I hope you'll be around today. Starting 5 PM CET, we will be broadcasting live from the arena, so you get to watch the first runthrough of Semi Final 2. At 21:00 CET, we will be Live Streaming from the Press Center so you get to hear all of the songs as well. Links to follow.

Serbia is criminally low in that press voting!

Youtube views of the live performances yesterday so far - all videos with 1000+ views counted. This could easily be similar to the actual televoting results. xthink

Maybe :is: NQ isn't that shocking anymore.

If televoting results were really similar to this, :ba: and :gr: were killed by the juries - which would be quite logical to expect.

On the other hand, :mt: was saved by the juries which also wouldn't come as a surprise at all. Only :at: remains a mystery as I would rather expect televoters than the juries to go for this. But those are just YT views, of course.

:ru: in a different league with the views (even though :ru: is by far the most populous country from the semifinal). Then there are :am::hr::nl::az: leaving others with a pretty big gap.

I can totally see that. I'm surprised :ee: is THAT low. It might have been above Moldova/Finland at least, no?

Are the bookmakers drunk? How on earth Bulgaria is considered 3rd favorite in the semi and 17th in the final? :?

Well, there's such a small gap between them so easily possible. But I wouldn't be surprised if :ee: ended near the very bottom.
