Wow. I won £350 tonight but it could have so easily been £0.

I put £12.50 on Australia to win at odds of 17.00 at the start of the week. I decided to cash out right before the televotes, winning £190. If they had won, I would have won £200. If I hadn't of cashed out, I would have got £0.

Ukraine's odds dropped to 80.00 at one point before the Juries. I put £2 on them. Won £160.

Amazing.

I'm so damn worthless when it comes to predicting Eurovision, but this time I hit bullseye. I'm really glad I did. Ok, I should shut my mouth, but I'm really really happy for Jamala.

Oh. My. God.

Just as I started losing my faith in Eurovision and everything started to seem more and more plastic to me, a winner like this comes along and saves it all. I know I used to hate the song, but it massively grew on me.

This year saw a victory of substance over style. The victory of a deep message over superficiality. The victory of heart over plastic.

Really, the reason why I love this winner is more ideological rather than musical. For that, I can even ignore the fact that it wasn’t directly decided by the will of the audience (because the results of Russia and Poland once and for all showed us that the televoters’ taste sucks balls).

I’m so happy for Europe.

The juries should stay, but please next time. Listen to the youtube-rankings, the betting-sites and what has been said in the forums... So I can maybe predict the result next year

Well, once my endorsment for France seemed to go anywhere, I was all "Anyone but Russia and Australia"... and I had my wish came true!

Congratulations Ukraine: great song, awesome performance, but what I loved the most is, I was afraid the winner was going to be one of those well-crafted but boring and cold songs, but won something with passion and meaning.

Awesome winner, that's all I can say.

This new point system was a total and utter farce.

And the winner was terrible. 2, 3, 4 were sooo much better. Cyprus low score was a shock.
