A few thoughts about the running order:
:al: doesn’t seem like a suitable song for position 2. It’s far too dramatic.
:se: is obviously being yet again pushed by the producers, the run of :mk::se::sl: is reminiscent of 2015 of when it was :se::cy: (and we all know how that went)
:nl: getting 12th was expected.
:is: are real winners here, between :uk: and :ee: they are bound to stand out more than in the semi.
The run of :ee::by::az::fr::it::rs: seems really weird to me. Three upbeat songs followed by three moodier/slower songs? I would’ve mixed them together more, like :ee::rs::by::fr::az::it:
:au: in 25th is bound to be a blessing.

Man I could bet that San Marino would be the show's opener. But I got Spain right! The best way to close the contest! But seriously, after the 20th place: bloodbath!

The winner's running order of the previous years:
Sweden 2015: 10
Ukraine 2016: 21
Portugal 2017: 11
Israel 2018: 22

So I guess The Netherlands will win... #meh

I agree. When I saw the video clip, it's like a clusterf**k of high impact songs with good staging. I wonder if the producer is purposely killing these songs with the order. I would have thrown Serbia on the mix to even out. I hope Azerbaijan doesn't get impacted despite having a high impact staging.

So contrary to the first semi, all entries that deserved to qualify actually did qualify except for :lv: that I would have happily exchanged with the banalities that are :ru: or :mk: , but other than that I think the outcome was pretty good. I don't care for the :dk: entry really, too cheesy for my taste, but in this context it was an ok qualifier, I would have exchanged it with some more deserving non-qualifiers from semi 2, but it's impossible.

As for the starting order in the finals, I still think there is a way to make a transparent fair draw and still keep the diversity if you put the songs in genre/style/tempo pots, and the producers are well aware of this but oddly unwilling to try it out... oh well...

:ru: , have good positions... but the run :ch: , :au: , :es: , surely they could have mixed these entries better between midtempo stuff at least since they just put :az: , :fr: , :it: , :rs: right in front (two midtempo , two ballads)? Technically :is: has a good position, but starting so close to  isn't really a good thing. With this starting order, I'm starting to feel :au: will win, :nl: might be a big favorite, but something is lacking in the performance (sitting and fake playing a piano for 3 minutes isn't really that exciting tbh), although I would prefer a :nl: win over :au: atm.

This will be one of the strongest final in the recent years probably. I wish there was a room for Belgium and Latvia as well.

It is really hard for me to pick a solid winner for myself this time. It was San Marino until the show began, but seeing all the performances, I am confused between several options, be it Australia, Spain, Italy, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, and maybe Switzerland. It seems I won't be able to change Netta on my signature as soon as I expected. It is hard to pick just one.

My ranknigs are changing more than usual, and that's a sign of a weak year

It is a weak year unfortunately :( Not sure if it's a sign though, in a strong year you have plenty of songs you like so I think it's harder to rank as in bad years the good ones stand out pretty initially and while you might change between those, it's basically the same songs since the rest are just bad.

In strong years, my mind is pretty much made up, but in weak years, every tiny detail of the live performance counts.

The sandwich of songs at the end is something.

I'm so excited for tomorrow ! even when I don't root for my own country I still find THE song I'll root for and i'm beyond excited for that country each year lmao i'm creepy

... but the run :ch: , :au: , :es: , surely they could have mixed these entries better between midtempo stuff...

Not if they want Australia to score very high and to remove/downgrade possible rivals of Sweden like Switzerland which will be overshadowed by Australia, the only real competition for Australia in the second half.
Spain wouldn't win anyway so it was safe for them to put them last because it would be too obvious if they had put Australia last. It's no secret that Björkman/Sand are crazy about Australia and try to push them as much as possible (not only this year). From an executive's POV it's even understandable, they think economically... they try to keep Australian viewers as it's a big market for Eurovision.

at least since they just put :az: , :fr: , :it: , :rs: right in front (two midtempo , two ballads)?

Because they don't matter for the top ranks... cannon fodder ;-)

Technically :is: has a good position, but starting so close to  isn't really a good thing.

It is. Placing two "neighbour" contries (in this case at least Scandibuddies) close to each other causes viewers of both countries to vote for each other, both countries profit. Just like the Denmark/Sweden combo in the semi.

With this starting order, I'm starting to feel :au: will win, :nl: might be a big favorite, but something is lacking in the performance (sitting and fake playing a piano for 3 minutes isn't really that exciting tbh)...

I agree that despite the odds I still don't see The Netherlands as the obvious winner.

Out of curiosity, the break is after the 13th song? Or will there be a "break/intermission" before that? I saw somebody on Reddit claiming the break was after the 10th song, which seems unlikely to me.

If I remember correctly it varied the past years. It depends on the staging (who needs some time to prepare) but didn't they have two breaks already in the past? With three parts of each about 9 songs?
