UK is so bottom 5.

Truth told. It's so cliché that the Big 5 will mostly fill the bottom 5 but on the other hand, it's well-deserved - since the bunch of worse or less entertaining tracks won't pass the semis.

I think that the UK, Germany and France are sure bottom 5 whilst - depending on the live performances - Spain can go either way (finishing close to Top 10 or ending up second to last [Germany has that #26 on lock] xD)

I agree on most of that except France. I think that France actually can be dark horse.

I actually think that this year, no one of the big 5 will place in the bottom 5 :D Mahmood is in it for the win, Spain for top 10, France top 10-15, UK and Germany will still scrape enough points to get into the top 20. :)

To my defense, I was talking about the televoting results.
I can't see the public voting for Bilal that much. He won the French preselection due to his many dedicated fans and followers. He won't have that advantage on an international scale and I still believe that his song ain't dramatic enough for such an act. People will compare him to Conchita Wurst who was miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiles ahead in terms of vocal performance, vocal skills, song's brilliance, etc.

I seriously believe that we will be seeing Italy being in the televoter's Top 5 whilst Spain, Germany, France, and the UK won't reach the Top 20 :D

I agree on the first part :) Bilal won't have that much support from the televote, but he might surprisingly stand out with the juries :)

Yes its clear that Bilal is nowhere near Conchita and people will compare them but i think he has something that makes likable to audience and maybe that will help with the televoting.

I think words related to "100% chances of happening this or that" are inappropriate to say at this point, we don't know how each country will surprise us in Telaviv and we haven't heard some artists performing their songs.

Yes, there are higher chances of X to happen and there lower chances of Y to happen but there are not certain/impossible things.

Moldova last year - "weak entry", "dated and "borderline/NQ", around 30th place in betting odds in March/April. Final result: 10th.

Albania - "NQ in semi 1", "boring song", bottom 5 in betting odds until the beginning of the semifinal. Final result: 11th

Cyprus - "generic pop song", "nothing special about it", around 20th place in betting odds until the rehearsals. Final result: 2nd

Bulgaria - "strong song", "can win the whole thing", 2nd in the betting odds before the rehearsals. Final result: 14th place.

So, yes, everything can happen! We will start to be more sure about how will countries place after the rehearsals, any predictions are still risky at this point.

^Agreed, I think we can only truly gauge the potential qualification of the entries until the rehearsals kick in. So sure-qualifiers now based on studio cuts are equally in danger.
This is what makes Eurovision exciting and frustrating at the same time. Exciting because you really never know who is going to surprise us (both in good and bad ways). Frustrating because delegations screw up the staging/artist did not live up to the expectations of the studio cut.

We hope our Scandinavian neighbours are helping us in the semi, and the juries maybe find it special. But it does not look good for Denmark this year

denmark is a 100% NQ this year in my eyes. they gonna bring the chair on stage again….. the jurys will not vote for this

Norway is seen by many as the fanflop / "surprise NQ" of the year. But they keep slaying it at every preparty, the audience is always strongly with them and they seem to be having so much fun. There is no way they don't qualify.

this kind of sound never worked at esc. i dont think it will work this year, it sounds very outdated. the need to hope for the votes from scandinavian countries.

how should uk and Germany be safed by the juries? i mean both songs are very weak compositions, why should the juries vote for it? for me both are clear bottom 5. France will not be much better, italy clear top 10 and for spain anything between 6 and 26 could happen ;-)

For me I think the big 5 will have very polarizing positions this year.

I foresee:
Italy ending top 3.
France and Spain in top 10/15.
Germany and UK will take on the bottom 5 positions.

I will be very surprised if Germany and UK get higher than that.
