The winning song will not top both the televoting and jury voting, but will rank first in one of them. So, a 2011/2015 scenario.

100% qualification records will be in trouble. Russia and Romania won't qualify.
Italy will get their second worst result since returning.
UK get on left-side of the scoreboard with a surprisingly high televote.
San Marino qualify.
Netherlands finish in the top 3.
Bulgaria will landslide to victory.
Both Estonia and Finland will flatter to deceive. Mid-table at best.
Israel do something completely out of the box and come top 5.
Iceland come last in their semi with 0 televote points.
Ireland finish in the top 10.
Spain will come bottom 5 again.
Portugal have a good home Eurovision with a top 10 finish with another fado song.
France and Belgium fight it out for second place.
If Norway send Rybak, he has a poor semi but gets top 10 in the final with a huge televote.

I'll add more when we know more of the entries. They will be under this line to differentiate.

- France and Italy both surprise and end up coming top 5
- Romania lose their qualification record
- Estonia end up middle table with a good result from the televoters which is pulled down by the juries
- UK ends up dead last, scoring more than Spain did last year but less than Germany did in 2016
- Czech Republic come top 10
- Denmark unfortunately flops in the semi
- Bulgaria get another top 5 but just miss out on winning again

- Spain will be at the top 10. Portugal too.
- Armenia will have its best result ever... and still not a victory.
- Sweden will flop; not even making it to the grand final.
- The top 3 would be a throwback to the 2000's results: three eastern countries.
- Ireland surprises everybody with a top 5.
- Russia will qualify, but end dead last in the grand final.

"Christer Björkman will also be the competition producer for the Eurovision Song Contest from 8 to 12 May 2018, he confirms for the Melodifestival club. The job means, inter alia, determining the starting order for all contributions."

Bish please! Can't Portugal deal with the running order? :?
I was so glad thinking he wouldn't be here this year to rig this. I can't!

Very bold, at the limits of the impossible

:de: will win in a shockingly race at the last point, with a difference of 3 points from the 2nd place and 8 points from the 3rd place

What's on your mind?

Like how people on the top of society don't get sarcasm.

Many in this forum have discussed and made suggestions for improving the contest in the past. Like how we could make the jury vote more trustable, how broadcasters would get it right with their national selections and someone here even written in a post how the mechanism of the televote could be changed to make it more fair for everyone.
Of all suggestions... The bad one came through, that suggestion was not even serious...

Newest bold prediction:

:ua: Vidbir

In attempt to hijack votes in favor of Tayanna juries will screw up instead - and Kadnay will go to Lisbon NOT being placed #1 by both jury voting and televoting.

Since I have 2,32% chance to hit it, I will have only one "bold" prediction. Winner is going to be Australia.

:sl: "Hvala, Ne!" is going to do a Romania 2017:

-people will vote it through in the semi.
-it won't completely be voted down by juries once in the final.
-it ends up getting the fifth highest score in televoting.
-it finishes 7th overall.

The winner will be from an internal selection from a country that has started doing well in recent years. Most likely :be:, :bg:, :nl:, :cy:, :at:, :il:

Alternatively, the winner will be an internal selection from a c ountry that has done awfully in recent years like :mk:, :ie:

Or the winner will be from an internal selection from a country that always does well i.e :au:, :az:, :ru:

Or either :ge: or :hr: will win with their internal selections.

Basically, don't think our winner will be from a NF
