Let's not forget that Russians, Armenians and Belarussians also gave her many points, so there is no need of such sarcastic attitude. Politics is one thing, but what people in these countries actually think is something completely different. :)

I'm well aware of that, but inspite of good televoting results, the nul points overall from those countries were a political decision, and since ESC is a state affair in those countries, their representation in the contest is a political decision as well. So it would be extremely interesting for me to see Conchita sharing sweet moments with those who are not supposed to doing so.

Well, that's completely different thing and I'm not sure whether this is the conclusion that could be reached. The need of changes in the way juries are working is obvious and that's not exclusively Russian, Belorussian and Armenian issue. If we have too look at the problem objectively, there are some issues with the "Western" voting patterns as well, especially in the way juries are handling this. I'm totally against that artifitial separation between East and West and if there are some problems, they are general ones which could be applied to all participating countries.

2015: A female host duo for Vienna? 2015: A female host duo for Vienna? | ESCunited.com

Will it be them? Alice Tumler (left) and Mirjam Weichselbraun (right).
It looks like the hosts for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest have been chosen. According to today’s issue of the magazine TV Media, Alice Tumler and Mirjam Weichselbraun will get the privilege to host the major event in May. However, this hasn’t been confirmed or commented on by ORF.
Alice Tumler is relatively new to the ORF family – she joined the broadcaster in 2013 and hosted two seasons of the talent show Die Große Chance and other shows since then. She also works for the French/German broadcaster ARTE. Apart from her native languages German and French, she also speaks English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
Mirjam Weichselbraun is probably the most famous TV show host in Austria at the moment. She has hosted countless shows for ORF as well as several German broadcasters. Besides hosting, she has also established an acting career in the last few years. One thing is for sure already: Weichselbraun will also host the four shows of the Austrian preselection for Eurovision 2015.

According to the TV Media article, it is still unclear whether Conchita Wurst will be involved. She has mentioned in several interviews that she wants to do the green room interviews – which therefore seems to be a likely scenario.
Previously there were rumours according to which Alice Tumler would host the shows together with the long-standing ESC commentator Andi Knoll – now he announced on his Facebook page that he will stick to his usual job in the commentator’s booth.
ESC United will keep you updated and let you know as soon as we know more regarding the Eurovision 2015 hosts!

Eurovision 2015 currently has 39 countries confirmed to take part, including the recent approval of Greece’s new broadcaster NERIT. Bulgaria remain a big question mark for participation but seems unlikely, whereas Ukraine have withdrawn and various others remain out of the competition. It is unknown whether any of these countries will make a surprise last-minute return in 2015 but we should find out within the next few days!

I suppose major news are either a Eurovision reform or a country debut / return.

Ukraine returning from their withdrawal is not major news, because most people don't even know yet that Ukraine has withdrawn and are used to their participation.

Bulgaria returning, is that major news?

Maybe the returning of a bunch countries, let's say Slovakia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Bosnia/Herzegovina and Ukraine. The major part about that news would be that Vienna marks a record number of participants (44!).

Or, the return of Luxembourg or debut of Liechtenstein or even Kazhakstan. Any of these events would be major imho.

I could also imagine a wild card for Australia!

On the other hand, maybe it is something about the rules? One plausible change for me, although it may seem far fetched, is the direct qualification of the Top 5 along with the Big 5, which leaves 16 countries left to qualify of the semis, 8 per one. So not only the winner, but also the runner ups get a reward. Or, Big 5 are no more, and every country has to do semifinals except for the champ.

Another major thing might be the announcement of a superstar host. Y'all know who I mean.

But Andi said on his Facebook that he will be the commentator again.

Terry Wogan managed to do both jobs in 1998!

If they think about bringing back the random draw or the 1 to 10 ranking for juries, that'd be a major news tbh xsnooty
