It's not a big deal, remember there will be the escxtra live stream, so we'll hear the closed rehearsals, at least.

They're not allowed to do any live streaming with sound for the first round of rehearsals. , I recall some people getting in trouble for that.

As far as I know as long as they talk over parts of the music they should be OK. Worth finding out, actually.

The escxtra live stream was great in Baku with that crazy amount of people in the chat and a special "host" answering questions. It was a true revelation for me. xheart I don't remember I saw anything the same in Malmö and I think they were forbidden to broadcast anything live to the net.

But will the official eurovision channel still upload their videos of the rehearsals?

They broke the rules in the first rehearsals and the stream was taken down. They got it fixed though and were streaming after that. Everything will be fine for this year.

Oh god, this looks...not too well.

Does it really matter though? I mean we held the contest in 1993 in an enlarged shed in a field in the middle of nowhere, what surrounds the arena isn't that important tbh. So long as there's no barriers to people getting in and out and no hazards to safety knocking around, there's no real reason to polish the square kilometre around the arena to the last detail.

The outside looks absolutely terrible. Looks like a rough area in the east end of Glasgow.

That doesn't seem to paint a good picture of Glasgow

Well, they chose to place the contest to an industrial area that used to be a huge shipyard (10 000 employees). It cannot be pretty and I don't think they want to change it too much as it also seem to be viewed as a monument of Danish industry. That said, I've never seen an ugly place in Denmark and I'm sure the area has its own charm. Denmark is very much a country of islands so the boat-trip he mentions will probably add very much to the experience of this. I've have not seen it mentioned anywhere but I strongly think a visit to Denmark should involve at least one ferry trip. Refshaleøen or Eurovision island is no longer an island though, so I guess its possible to get there by car or bus.

I doesn't worry me how the building will look outside as I properly only will see the inside on TV anyway. However traffic is going to be a challenge as it is not possible to park your car on the area, instead Copenhagen has made a Eurovision Carpark for 600 vehicles on Amager ...... and people has to book a space for their car in advance. Another challenge is they advice people to be on the Eurovision Island 2 hours before doors are closing at 20.00 Well I can understand that ...... they expect 2.500 to 3.000 people will take the harbour Bus from Nyhavn (departure every half an hour they have rented extra boats ) some 1.500 - 2.000 are expected to take a public bus combined with train or metro. From the Carpark there will be shuttle bus. Finally they expert some 100 -200 locals will ride a bike (depending on the weather)

^^ Which then surely means that everyone spectators are meant to use public transportations as ferries, trains and buses, right? Do they plan to have special Eurovision-ferries perhaps?

Ferries: Yes our harbor bus's have seats for only 40 passengers so they have rented some turistboats with seats for 100 passengers. The bus number 9A has been extended with extra stop at the Eurovision Island. However I do expect that some people from Sweden, Germany and Denmark outside Copenhagen will take the car..... and they will be in for a surprise !!
