Nicklas was easily the best. Vocally a bit weak but the song slays! Really liked this one! There is still a chance that this would be a NQ but this has the biggest potential.

Song 5: Nicklas Sonne – "Freedom"
Now for a hard rock song. I guess a Eurovision national final wouldn't be complete these days without some sort of rock song (remember Blind Channel in UMK Final in 2021). I've never liked this style, but there are plenty of people who enjoy this genre. This is well staged for this style, including back screen images, lighting effects, and the inclusion of giant speakers and a drumkit. Altogether a really lively rock song, which rock fans would have enjoyed. If this gets to Eurovision 2023, will this succeed like Blind Channel in 2021, or will it flop like PKN in 2015? Still the first hurdle is to win DMGP 2023 Final tonight.

Blind Channel's chorus is more melodic. It's as simple as that from my point of view.

Mariya presented some intriguing HAIROGRAPHY.

And there was a lot of other things happening on that stage as well

The song remains dreadful for me

Søren says in the segment that they already have an English version of his song.

Song 6: Mariyah LeBerg – "Human"
When I watched the preview videos earlier today, I'd say this was one of my most liked among the eight. I'd still say this is one of my most liked songs so far tonight, because it's quite a lively, catchy song. However, I was disappionted with Mariyah's live performance; I thought there were a few moments when she wasn't quite perfect. If this wins DMGP 2023 Final tonight, I think she'll need to polish up her performance for the ESC. As for the staging / background screen images, they were alright, but not something to overly impressed with.

Song 7: Søren Torpegaard Lund – "Lige her"
A beautiful ballad, sung in Danish. Søren has a beautiful voice, and sang well. I like the way he performs under the spotlight, in near darkness; that's just what this style of song calls for. The starry effect, on the background screens, is appropriate for this song. I've seen an English version of the lyrics, and I think you need to analyse them to fully appreciate this song. That can be a problem for some, because not everyone analyses lyrics / reads background information about songs.
