I really liked the studio version and I still do. But tonight was showing what the difference is between a singer and a tiktok-er. Once the backing vocals were gone there was literally NOTHING. The EBU should really think about in which direction they want to contest to go and overthink the backing-vocals-rule.

Danish national selections tend to be the most boring, middle of the road selections we get for Eurovision. Based on that results are completely in line with the way how they organize/pick their entries. This year was no different and the outcome was another NQ. I really hope Denmark finally rethinks its national selection and looks at Norway or maybe Finland, even Estonia for inspiration.

Denmark's a bit on a worrying streak lately, have yet to qualify in the 2020s. And except for Rasmussen, they barely made an impact in the last years. I remember they had great results at the beginning of the last decade. We need to get them back on par with their Scandinavian friends (and less on par with their southern neighbors )

Stop sending Tik Tokkers. 9/10 can't sing. People act like you can't edit live singing on Tik Tok.

EBU won't to that as EBU wants US and Asian $$$$$

Denmark had a great run in the late 10's and would have qualified in 2020 as well.

But it's a hazardeous strategy to pick inexperienced singers and only Danish written songs.

2015: they failed
2016: they failed
2017: barely any points from televote, qualified only thanks to the juries
2018: won televote in sf, juries put them outside top 10
2019: barely qualified
2021: failed
2022: failed
2023: failed.

Wake up, Denmark.

Let me translate this:

2017: Finished in the upper half
2018: Finished in the upper half
2019: Finished in the upper half
2020: Were rated 12th by the bookmakers

A great run of success!

2017: almost all points came from the juries
2018: almost all points came from the televote
2019: mid-table is not a success
2020: 2020 is a mystery.

All of these doesn't sound like a success story to me.

Well, I always thought he would qualify. I didn't consider he would flop live THAT hard tho, those vocals were terrible and the staging wasn't as elevated as I thought it would be based on clips/photos.

After every performance I knew he was out. Welp.

This shouldn´t be suprising if you heard him singing on the afterparty.

I always saw this as a borderline qualifier at best. It seems that his TikTOK fanbase didn´t turn out as much as expected or was already sleeping.

The studio version is good but the live just deflate like a lead balloon. I think it's a bad idea to put him alone on stage. It's basically whole lotta nothing just with a big ass house prop. They think they can do that like they did with 2019. But I guess not.
