Well, you hadn't much to choose from to begin with Denmark...especially since Simone was like a funeral in pink to be honest.

And this must mean that I will probably never like a danish entry again, since DR and the danish people doesn't seem to coexist with my musictaste....oh well.

Oh my, I was one of those who naively thought things would change this year for Denmark. Should have know better

I didn't listen to the song, but just when reading your comments, I'm already 100% certain Denmark will reach the abysses of my ranking once again, same old same old. If bland songs were prohitibited in the contest, Denmark would never be allowed to take part  Seriously, I'm not angry like last year, I'm simply deeply disappointed that it is all Denmark can do. Cute faces and lovey-dovey unremarkable music will never be my thing.

I didn't watch the NF and I don't know most of the songs but I just watched Simone and her song is clearly superior. The staging is cheesy but it's not like the winners had great staging. I don't understand how Lighthouse X managed to win. I immediately liked Heart Shaped Hole and it would have been my number 1 now, if it had won.

That's really disappointing. :?

This is one of those entries where I wish it hadn't been sung in English then I wouldn't understand just how terrible the lyrics are...

Yet another perfect moment during the ESC-show to visit the bathroom. Thank you Denmark for never dissapointing. 1 point for taking part.

Denmark just has a love affair with bland inoffensive beige pop songs, they just can't resist it.

Woooooo, more bland boy-band pop from Denmark! Just what we all wanted!

Can't say I'm too disappointed though, to be honest; I wasn't a huge fan of any entries from their NF this year, and I don't think they were going to be seeing a top 10 finish regardless. Yeah, I would've slightly preferred either of the other songs from the superfinal, but in my books this is at least an improvement over what they've sent in the last two years. But still: can we please something a little more adventurous and memorable next year, Denmark?

Faces aren't even that cute this time round, as you will eventually find out when you get the heart for it. Warning:it is lovey dovey all right. Very lovey dovey. Oh, and there's shine and light in it :?

I wonder why they left bright out, or whether I listened correctly

I don't really get the complaints, I think it's actually a pretty decent pop track, with good staging and excellent vocals. The preselection of :dk: wasn't much to begin with, so I would call this a deserving winner. Simone was by no means any better or worse. It's a little cheesy, but that's also a part of Eurovision.

If the blandness is only reason to hate this song, then why do so many other pieces of bland music in Eurovision get a free pass. Hell, why did "A New Tomorrow" get a free pass in 2012? Even though I like that song too . I have the feeling, its just "cool" to hate on them because they can be classified as a boyband. In my opinion Simones song was equally "bland" and I have the feeling a lot of people in this forum just prefer screamy diva's in a dress with a bland song, then boybands with a bland song.

Don't know why you are comparing it to Simone's song. Most were annoyed that this beat Anja, who was the clear stand-out. People are hating on the song because it sucks. Simple.

Okay, now I'm ready to say what I need to say.
It's been 48 hours and 46 minutes since Denmark messed up our chances in this years Eurovision Song Contest.
Really Denmark, Really? I'm so disappointed by my country.
No hate to Lighthouse X, the song is fine and catchy in a way - but that's it.
We had Simone with a powerful song, a unique and clean voice, and a rememberable appearance.
Then, we had Anja with also a powerful voice and song that could breakthrough this years contest, it would get the entire Stockholm to party. But no.
I honestly can't believe that we threw all our chances just down the table. All hope to my country, all my fingers are crossed for Lighthouse X with Soldiers Of Love, we will definitely need it in May. 19 countries and only 10 spots for qualifying for the Grand Final. Yup, i'm nervous.
Amen. :dk:

This is definitely, "Denmark in ESC" type of song. I have a soft spot for such songs. So, I like this entry as a result. It's a fantastic (albeit formulaic) boy-band track. Even if this wasn't from Denmark, I'd still enjoy it. It's well sung, it's well arranged, I can't really fault it.

I have no complaints about the song.

My only complaint would be that Denmark doesn't go outside of their "tried and tested" formula when it comes to songs that they send to ESC.

I remember the "wtf"-moment when seeing the result of DMGP on Saturday on my phone. Really didn´t expect this result.
I mean, the song is ok, imo, so 6 points in the voting. But there were definitley lots of better opportunities to chose. Even in the super-final. And it will be hard for Denmark to reach the final with "Soldiers of Love".

At least I got a new NF-favorite for this season: Veronicas Illusion - The wrong kind. Such a great song :-) Will for sure be a huge Euroclub-hit in Stockholm.
