No, seriously, Mirai even has some good songs as to my taste (not that many though), but the crossover with Eurovision is exactly zero. Luckily I don't fear he would be interested

Chapeau for mentioning Deloraine, I really like the group. With a right song they could do wonders, and I think they have the right song in them.

Adonxs has repetitively said he would like to take part in ESC, he is definitely interested. I wouldn't mind some Czechoslovak love, but I think Elis' project 3 years ago was perhaps a better idea.

My heart's choice n°1 remains Barbora Mochowa. Sadly, unless we go fully internal or with a live primetime national final, it's just impossible...

Not necessarily. In the four times the Czech Republic made it to the final, they were Top 10 in the televote on three of them (including two Top 5). And in 2015, it would have qualified if only televote was considered.

Ahmad made a livestream on insta yesterday, some of the gossip he'd mentionned:

• The internal deadline for the team's decision about the 3 finalists is 8th January.
• "We won't be among the first 3 countries to know their representant, but we shall still know quite early, definitely not in March"
• "We will have something like a live-on-tape again, but hopefully better, something that might make people very happy"
• However, "there shall still be postproduction involved", which doesn't sound like a televised NF to me.
• Yes, raising costs were a contributing if not the main factor to cut the number of our finalists
• They would love to see Adonxs in the selection, however he would have to be in a duet because of the rules (didn't sound like he is a part of anything submitted so far)
• The delegation knew all along would be back, but needed more time to think about how to adjust the format, so they didn't want to open submissions yet. At the same time, saying "yes we are back" is closely related to starting accepting submissions in their minds, so they chose to keep silent. " participation confirmation is purely a matter between delegation and EBU, we don't have to tell the fans anything, we don't want to take the spotlight from the official EBU announcement. There is no need to say "we are in" in any other way as a separate event".
• (In the context of "how will the selection process go?"): "I will throw this in as a hint: Benidorm Fest! Maybe I want to really say something with this, or maybe I just want you guys to watch it, ha ha!"

I think that ESCZ will be held from 30th of January. Ahmad shared story on his instragram with czech flag and this date.

Something tells me that Aiko will compete with song Instincts. The song (with videoclip) will be out on the 11th of January but if you wanna see live version from concert here is link (Instincts starts at 1:10):

We still don't know if it will be aired on TV, though. Could just be an internet stream. The TV program of ČT is available only up to January 22. Either way, great news.

I think it will be televised. It wouldn't make any sense for them to do something live at CT studios and not broadcast it on TV.
