Imagine all the hustle and controversy and then.....RODAN wins :ROFLMAO:
He´s the consolation prize, though.

It would be tragic to see him win when you have a song like Vesna´s in a NF but I´m not going to lie.. his song would be my #2 so far.

Btw Jan Bors delivered a quite embarrassing moment with his „we want a show like this too“ moment tonight. I mean he probably meant it as a compliment but it felt a little bit weird. And what does he want, :cz: do actually improve their show this year…

Jan Bors being embarrassing? No way! I admire what he did for Czech Eurovision but he is a bit of a self centered dork. Although I have no idea what you are talking about since I haven't been at home the whole weekend

He has done indeed a lot. I don´t wanna judge him, but you can guess that he thought to become a more focused-on Mr. Eurovision but his video have barely the views he intended to have. Which probably is the reason he has not published a new video for a longer time now. Still I think he was an excellent HoD for Czechia in the time of Czech ESC-renaissance.

After the continuing obsession, I’m here to come out as an absolute Kruna moje sestre stan. The best song discovered through Eurovision since Šum.
Hvala. But i am sure you meant Kruna moje sestre fan. ;) Although, My sister´s crown is a flat sounds interesting too.

I was away and had to miss out. Loads of work and there have also been some issues with grandpa's health...

More to the point, I am fed up with Russian propaganda appropriating so many positive values and turning them into negatives, in true Orwellian fashion. It can use pretty much anything and try turning it on its head, gaining benefits in the resulting chaos.

I am ashamed of people putting national flags on their facebook profiles as a "counter" to people displaying support to Ukraine. I despise the resulting association of waving your own flag = showing support to Russia, which is the reframing its propaganda tries to achieve. I also hate when our politicians say "I want peace" with a direct implication of "we should give in and let Russia take what it wants", yet again associating peace to Russia.

Similarly, I don't think we should let Russia appropriate the term of sisterhood between nations. Of course, its propaganda abuses the term, foisting its use on Slavic nations as its imaginary source of authority. But there are countries whose relationship can be described as something like sisterhood and Russia has nothing to do with it. :cz: and :sk: are often described like brothers - sure, some :sk: sentiment of :cz: being the oppressors in our common past exists (and is probably legit), but the truth is that when the wall fell, we'd just let them go and any thought of us now going and forcing them back against their will is completely ridiculous. Our relation with Poland is also quite good and there are many common values - there is the occasional dispute over some toys, but it's never a "I am your big brother, so now you will be my slave for life" situation. Sisterhood between nation exists and is very much worth talking about.

All this to say - I understand why there are many people whose immediate reaction to My Sister's Crown is "omg, more Russian propaganda!", but ultimately, the song's message definitely is ":ua: is OUR sis, hands off you bastard" (sure, there's the women empowerment part as well). After all, that's what Vesna confirmed in their official statement - I only hope they have the strength to repeat that ad nauseam in the shitstorm that's inevitably coming once they get confirmed as our entry tomorrow.

Let's not refrain from using our national symbols and words like peace and sisterhood just because the big bully abuses them to his benefit.

As for our national final, I am really happy and proud, I am sure it's the best we could achieve given the situation.

My vote went for Vesna, all the political discussion aside, to me, it's the best song we'd ever had in our selections (together with White and Black Holes). I have 0 doubts they will win tomorrow. The question is if our team is ready for what's to come, because it certainly isn't going to be pretty. For the actual contest, this could become our Molitva just as well as our Horehronie, and it will probably reaffirm Eurovision's political image in our public's eyes. I don't care, it's still worth it.

I was not completely convinced with the studio version of ghosting, but Pam really delivers live and to me, it's her best effort in ESCZ, I almost feel sorry for her not going yet again. I wish there was an ultimate duet we could send Pam and Elis with one day.

Rodan is also very solid and Introvert Party Club beats anything we'd sent in the last 3 years for me. A big promise for the years to come.

I don't appreciate Maella and Markéta's songs much, I am sorry legends.

Thank you!

For centuries ruZZia has been hijacking and appropriating other nations' and cultures' symbols to use in their own twisted and sick imperialist goals, heck the ruZZian nation and culture as we know it is just one huge blend and appropriation of nations occupied or formerly occupied by ruZZia.

Whether it's about Pan-Slavism (Slavic sisterhood/brotherhood), the Cyrillic alphabet, Christian Orthodoxy, Slavic languages or whatever it may be, ruZZia has been trying to claim all these as their own and ultimately using it in their propaganda to dominate over other countries. None of these stems from ruZZia, and we should not allow ruZZia to hijack the common denominators of what makes up being "Slavic", or Eastern European for that matter. I can understand that some can react negatively to concepts of "Pan-Slavism" (Slavic Sisterhood/Brotherhood) for instance as it has been used (and still being used) by ruZZia with the absolute worst and most cynical intentions, but let's not give them that pleasure or credit!

Back to the entry (ruZZian attempts to hijack even this has been getting too much attention, let's not even mention them); Vesna better wins! It would be such a waisted opportunity if not.
