I have finally voted for We All Poop (though I'll probably borrow a few relative's phones so I might send a couple votes my n°2 Barbora's way as well). They have a great song!
I honestly believe that if they get their poop (e. g., the live presentation) together, they are the best risk/reward choice. :)
Both Olga (jurybait) and Elis (telebait) should easily qualify and quite probably reach a top 10-15ish placement. We All Poop is riskier and could perhaps even NQ, but it's also the only act of the three I can see in the top 5, if the stars are aligned well.
Moreover, I love the song and their message is very personal to my vegeterian-who-doesn't-like-imposing-it-on-others-but-still-likes-other-likeminded-people self. WAP representing :cz: would be the ultimate joke considering our slowly changing but IMO still rather veg-intolerant general atmosphere. It would actually be an even more improbable joke than us having a decent NF.
I mean you don't have to be vegetarian or vegan to dislike cruel treatment of animals. I also believe we haven't had a song with this message at Eurovison yet, that could also be a plus.
All in all, should WAP go, I am absolutely ok with them failing. At least they would've tried! :)

I'm quite angry: I wanted to vote via the app and there was already a song selected and I was told I couldn't change it. It was my vote from last year. They just kept the 3rd spot and exchanged the artist. How unprofessional ist that?!?

This is a problem on the side of the developer - supposedly, all you need to do is reinstall the app (based on the CZ ESC facebook info). This should clear your app cache and you should be able to vote.

Edit: The "vote" from the last year wasn't actually sent anywhere this year so you don't have to worry it would count this year. Only the vote you physically cast yourself will count.

After listening to the songs over and over I finally sent my vote to We All Poop. I sense there is a risk in sending them as well but it's a really great song with meaningful message.

Ben's song is my 2nd place - it grew on me a lot - after a few listens it didn't seem as flat as it did when I first listened to it. Ben really doesn't need the votes though, so I rather supported WAP.

Dark Water is the first song after 7 weeks to beat Karel Gott's "Srdce Nehasnou" in our youtube charts (in views per single day - Source).
Olga also has more views than Benny now. Good for her - I just hope we don't pull a Chameleon should she qualify :)

Those views are not organic though, she is advertising the video like crazy.
Good indicator of that is always the like/dislike and comments count when compared to music videos with similar amount of views and similar release date. Also, she is nowhere in our YT trends.

Precisely what I had in mind :) Malta also advertised like crazy last year and well, it didn't exactly help them to crack the top 10.

Today's instagram stream was perhaps more about Kryštof Šámal than about Karelll doing the talking. I thought I might share some points again.
  • (I think Boris will like this, though it's perhaps nothing new) "The core of our work lies in the NF. I am not saying we don't care about the actual Eurovision, but we genuinely don't care about what other countries might be sending."
  • Kryštof is still a little bitter about last year's running order. "A friend of mine has done some statistics and apparently it's very rare for the act with the 3rd spot to place better than 14th. So I consider the 11th place a huge success." I'll want to check those stats at some point, but I fully agree.
  • Kryštof hopes we're gonna draw the second semi tomorrow, as we haven't done so for the entire time he's on the job. "We can arrive to the host city a little later, save some money and invest it in the staging instead." I hadn't realized that even this could be a factor :)
  • Kryštof finds Salvador's behavior towards the ESC brand after winning the contest weird and disturbing. At the same time, he said Portugal's victory had probably been a big breaking point that had made his job of attracting Czech musicians and changing their negative perception of the contest a lot easier.
  • Karelll's answer about whom he would personally vote for if he wasn't in the selection: "We All Poop". Kryštof: "That's funny, out of the four finalists to answer this question so far, you are the third to say that, after Barbora and Pam." -"Oh, and who was the fourth one?" -"We All Poop." :)

Tumblr, mostly.

I approve of that attitude. The right approach is to indeed treat Eurovision as a serious music competition and your entry as your country's calling card. So long as they don't forget to also deliver spectacle and fun in the same package :-)

I'm really afraid that WAP is going to win this.

Wait a second.

So there won't be any jury 12 points reveal this year. Well that sucks when you realize it.

I feel this year it could be telling too much. The (kinda expected) information we got last year was that Barbora and Lake Malawi were in the front, but we had no idea how low or high will especially Barbora place with the televote.
This year, I have no idea how will the jury vote. I think the biggest faves there are Barbora & Olga, but I can also imagine WAP or Elis topping it. On the other hand, we have a good idea about how will the televote go. So for example, if they went ahead and announced five jury 12s for Olga now, all suspense would be pretty much over for me.

But you are right, I liked this concept a lot last year. It sucks it's probably gone.

I voted for WAP, but i'd also love to see Barbora nail this. She really deserved to win last year, but Lake Malawi was my 2nd so i wasn't pissed.
This year i have like 4 favourites from this selection, so whoever wins i won't be pissed. Czechia really upped their game this year. I would have loved a televised show tho, so we can get a glimpse of how the staging will be in Rotterdam. Barbora would definitely outshine the others, if there was a live show.
I hope she comes back next year, with a winner song! Imagine her coming up with something same level as LDR's Born to die or video games. xheat
