"Friend of a friend" would be bad enough even if they didn't put those awful spoken words over it. As hollow as Benjamin from last year and more annoying :? True Colours is the only correct choice here, please don't mess it up

If I were a jury, I would find it too difficult to choose between Lake and Barbora. It's a shame they have to compete in the same year. I cast my vote for Barbora anyway, but wouldn't mind Lake winning either. I just feel that Friend of a Friend could do well regardless of how it's staged, whereas True Colors needs to rely heavily on a good staging, or everything will go wrong. In any case, we have Czechia in the final for second year in a row, that's for sure. I really enjoy underdogs becoming new powerhouses of ESC. Switzerland, take notes.

I hope this is not gonna turn out wrong, Czech Republic has all the ability to be my number 42 after all. Atleast if nothing worse is gonna be sent. There aren't big options as of right now.
1. Barbora Mochowa: True Colours
The standout for me. I dont have to repeat what others say about the Lana Del Ray thing, its just a good ballad, could be staged nice and mysterious. However thats the problem, I cannot envision it at this point. I have the feeling the performance could become total lackluster. This is my fave though, especially after her live performance.
2. Jara Vymer: On My Knees
Fine song, a little annoying.The melody isn't my cup of tea. Its yet one of the good ones to me and would still probably place deadlast in my complete ranking.
3. Jakub Ondra: Space Sushi
Fun entry, but I dont like the instrumental at all, I dont like the lyrics at all, its just ridiculously weird, and not in a good way. I feel uncomfortable watching him sing, dont ask me why.
4. Hana Barbara: Poslední slova tobě
Forgettable song. I like tiny bits of the song, but its just soooo not going anywhere. Its like just there. Yeah, just there and hasn't an impact. With a better song the beautiful girl couldve done much better to me.
5. Tomáš Boček: Don't Know Why
Urgh, I hate the melody, its just pure awkwardness to me. I am literally disliking it. His voice is great and he seems a gentle person, but yeah.
6. Lake Malawi: Friend of a Friend
... I am not liking this AT ALL. I find it annoying, childish and watching him makes me feel all uncomfortable. I am so sorry, he probably deserves better, but if this wins, I can only see myself hoping he gets another song or a major revamp, because I hate, and yes I mean hate, the instrumental which makes it as bad to me as it sounds.
7. Pamela Rabbit: Easy to Believe
I have no opinion on this song, its just so .. null personality actually.
8. Andrea Holá: Give Me a Hint
Yawn. I couldnt bare listening to it all. I was soooo bored.
I actually am not a critical judge concerning these songs, but this year it seems Czech Republic took such a huge step backwards after Mikolas who was SHINING with his personality. These acts are probably all cute little, nice people, but so... empty when talking about personality. I feel like I cannot connect to them and their songs. I didnt even listen all of them fully, because I couldnt, maybe because their filming was awkward or their songs lacked personality, strength and stuff. I am so sorry, but Czech Republic has only one option. And might not qualify ...
