You will, have patience - every blog just likes to be the first with any kind of "exclusive info" even if they don't have the video of the rehearsal ready. I'm sure we'll see them soon ;)

Today we'll only see a snippet from the rehearsals from eurovision.tv. The blogs will only be able to post videos of the 2nd rehearsals.

I was surprised that some people managed to put the full song online yesterday - was only expecting the snippets anyway so it's better than nothing I guess.

Wiwibloggs.com: Gabriela Gunčíková wows with sophisticated first rehearsal:

Gabriela Guncikova has been rising in the betting odds over the past week and today she made it clear why. During her first rehearsal at Eurovision 2016 the Czech starlet brought the total package — voice, song, staging, LED, and presence.

Some of us have never been a fan of the studio version, moaning that it gets a tad monotonous. But when you hear Gabriela sing this live the song comes to life. Her vocals were 100% on-point. She didn’t miss a note and, more importantly, she added emotion, soul and dimension.

The song starts in darkness and Gabriela slowly emerges wearing a white, floor-sweeping skirt with form-fitting bodice. Then, in what may be the most brilliant use of the LED floor and wall yet, we see her now famous purple, pink and blue geometric branding. The camera swoops back and she seems to disappear into the pink. Her white dress reflects the light of the floor well, making Gabriela a dynamic vessel of light.

Our one reservation is the ending, when the LED screen transforms into a shower of pink and white flowers. It’s less chic and sophisticated than the rest of her performance and gives us major shades of Zöe, who sings later in the same semi final.

It sounds promising. I can´t wait to see it.

Now this is a classy, beautiful entry from Czech Republic and Gabriela's voice is arguably the best in the competition, surely this is going to qualify.

I really hope that this song qualifies instead of some gimmicky crap like Estonia or Cyprus

So many polished performances in Semifinal 1! I'm sure 4-5 will miss out at the expense of others :( I have a strong feeling this will comfortably go through though.

I LOVE the way this seems to be done! A beautiful woman with a great voice in a simple white dress. Not a whole lot going on on the stage. And the backdrop is calm and seems to suit and to follow the song. I guess the camerawork will focus on Gabriela.
This seems STRONG! I need this to qualify, even though I am not the biggest fan of the song itself.

There's far too much of a reliance on this song to qualify, it really has no chances and we'll see next week how it'll fail to qualify. This wont get that many televotes (definitely bottom 6 in the televoting) and I feel like the juries will forget it (even with a reasonable jury score, televoters will drag it down). This can be teamed with Czechia's dreadful performance at ESC, only managing 13th in a weak semi final in 2015. This year, semi final 1 is quite strong too, and with Greece and Moldova going for better pieces of staging, it only reduces Czechias chances even more.

Compare it to something like Greece 2015. Greece has tons of power in ESC (aswell as being an automatic qualifier) and they barely scraped through with mid-low points by most countries, then flopped hard in the final. Their song was similar, bland ballad, their staging was interesting, something that this doesn't have.

I'm not trying to hate on the entry at all, just say that everything is going against it.

Pity I'm in CR right now and not at home in Russia, I'd give Gabi and Nina my votes
Simply and amazing xheart

BTW I've read that she has the best floor screen usage for now

I think this was the only first rehearsal clip by which I was unequivocally impressed - there was nothing wrong with either her performance or the stage picture. Might put it back in my personal top 10.

Why would our song end up lower in the televoting than last year? Our song is much more appealing this year, both to casual viewers and juries.
Semi 1 is a strong semi, but not THAT strong - plus last year we were also in the better semi ;)
Not sure if we can talk about quality of the staging now, as we still haven't seen it, bar a few descriptions and still pictures - she is just standing there, yeah, but some songs don't need anything else than a good background and convicting performer who can emotionally connect with the viewer, which I'm more than 100% sure about Gabriela can.
Most bloggers describe our staging as a good use of the screens and especially the LED floor. I will still remain optimistic, especially after I've seen some rehearsals of other countries didn't impress as much as expected (Estonia, Croatia ...)

It will stand out [in comparison to Russia, Malta, ...] because it's simple and it fits well with the song. Definetly my favourite performance today (from what I've heard and seen).
And on Wiwibloggs she's leading the poll (best performance on May 3) at the moment with 25% :)
