I'm bored by Cyprus trying to replicate 2018 at all costs again and again and again. I mean: we had Eleni, than we had Tamta, than we had Elena, now we have Silia. In just 6 years. Come on! Cyprus has more to offer than just girlbops. :3: and I'm bored, sorry.

Did you doubt that, when the artist was announced?

"I'm feeling like oh la la la"?

I had high hopes but, well, it's actually very repetitive. I'm not even sure how many points I should give. Uhm... that's a 5 for now.

This has punch, goes straightforward and is catchy. Well done, definitely enters my top 10. One of the better dance tracks we had in the past years.

This sounds nothing like Fuego.

Is the only issue that this is an uptempo song, sung by a woman? I don't see how someone could be 'bored' by this. If this was sent by the UK, would it be ok?

If you like the song you like the song. If you don't, you don't.

This whole production sounds Romanian for some reason, it's as if this song was released on Global Records or Cat Music, so naturally I have to stan. Cyprus has done it again! With most of the balkans missing this edition, this will feed my dancepop soul.

:10: xdance

PS: Gotta love that the annual tradition of "issa Fuego copy" comments are here already.

Cyprus been chasing that 2018 result ever since.

nah they clearly have a delegation who has a particular taste or vision in mind. Arguably each entry has been different from the year before.

She needs to the dance the hell out of this and turn the pre recorded vocals up and she will easily qualify.

Is this a girlbop? Yes. Is the fourth Cypriot girlbop in six years? Yes. I made myself clear: Cyprus needs something else, imo.

No posts in 5 days. What is it about Cyprus entries - the thread for Andrew Lambrou was dead last year and was the most dead of the season I think along with Iceland.

Anyway, not a bad little song but not a qualifier for me.

It's because they're generic in a very bad, dated way.

Like, give me "Replay" type of generic and we'll eat it up. "Ela" also amazing. Like even though those songs were simple and weren't doing anything new, their production value was so high that you didn't care and we also need few simple pop tracks every year. Like Alex P. is a genius, he has also written La La Love and Fuego. All of these songs still sound fresh today.

You can't say the same for 2023 and this year.

I have no idea why is it so underrated in odds... It reminds me of Helena Paparizou. Is Europe really tired of hot Mediterranean sounds? I don't think so :D For me it is definitely better than Replay, for example. Gave :12:

It doesn't sound "Mediterannean" at all, the song could come from any country - literally, as it got rejected by half a dozen of them before ending up with Cyprus.

It definitely couldn't come from Baltic/Nordic counties :D But yes, I know the backstory. It has some very strong hooks and it is something Helena Paparizou could have sung 15 years ago. Maybe yes, it is a bit dated :D
