I'm doing that annoying Eurovision fan trope thing of comparing a new Eurovision artist/song to a previous one but with the way that percussion hits, and the ear piercing falsetto notes, I'm just thinking of an extra cheesy but brighter and more appealing Duncan throughout a chunk of my three minutes with it. The song itself is alright-ish though despite it sounding like it's come kicking and screaming from one of those Eurovision songwriting camps. A bit bland but it is anthemic and if Andrew can perform it anywhere near half decently live, it should be an easy qualification from semi 2.

:5: points. Tempted to knock off extra after witnessing a friend *cough* Looren just now describing the song as having "Imagine Dragon vibes", but I'm a good gentleman. I'll resist for now.

Well, what can I say about :cy: 2023?? It "exists"?? xthink

From a technical side there´s nothing wrong about this song, good production. But sadly I have the same problem like with many Swedish entries in the past. It´s totally sterile for me, I felt absolutely nothing while listening to it. I´m also not a big fan of his singing style, it sounds like he´s swallowing the endings of the words, especially in the beginning. After the song ended it faded away very quickly. :(

All in all I give Andew a very average :5:, not a total disaster but just too beige and boring to give it a higher ranking. xbored

One Direction drop-out founds a Swedish producer and makes a cheesy and generic popsong part 37.

Another one that sounds like boyband pleasing teenage girlies-stuff. Incredibly lame.

Yeah, not for me.
He seems to have a great voice, I'm sure he'll perform it well, but it's not enough to save the song.

Yeah it is like a tiktok model singing for Cyprus at eurovision. Song doesn't really do a thing to me either. His autotune is good but live is not just so.

Ok, this is very Hungary 2016 loud generic insincere solo male pop with random lyrics. These loud screams are completely out of place. Next!

A big, fat 7. If he manages to pull this off live then I won't be surprised with a TOP 10 result.

Meh - I think it´s solid - there are parts which I really like (the pre-chorus, the post-chorus before the middle 8) but I really dislike the generic (sounding) verses and the final chorus ain´t my cup of tea, either.
Also, I wish his voice was stronger (the tone sounds so bland to me)... I can totally understand the "model singing a talent show winning entry" comment.

It´s decent, he´s pretty but the song is quite random (?).

:5: from me for now - It will probably qualify easily in semi 2.
