I prefer when Cyprus/Greece add their own greek flair/sounds like they previously have. This is completely devoid of any personality. Why go to the effort to import this guy when this song could've been sung by anyone. Also the chorus isn't as catchy as it wants to be I can't even remember the chorus after a few plays.

It’s not bad, but I just know it would be eaten as a side dish in the last few years. It’s just bland?

From all the ballads that we have so far this is my fave. Let's hope the staging is good but that shouldn't be a problem for Cyprus. This should easily qualify. It's the strongest song in SF2 so far imo.

Cyprus almost never sends their own sound anymore. Lets be honest. They are basically just a Sweden Jr. at this point. Andromache one of the rare exceptions in the past decade at ESC.

It’s much better than I thought it would be but nothing amazing, can’t see it not qualifying in semi 2 especially given Australia and Greece are in the same semi

Australia is qualifying. Now in the final if Promise can crack the top 20.... I'm not sure.

Yes of course Australia is qualifying but the whole reason Andrew was picked is to obtain more televote than they would have with a Cypriot national

They were much more succesful with their english songs in the last decade than with their greek songs so I'm not surprised that they send these type of songs. I liked their songs tho and Andromache should've qualified

Fuego had some ethnic influences. Even Replay had very, very, very, very subtle influences. This is just an X-Factors winners song lol.

Car music, and probably a grower. There's some magic in his voice when the song gets deeper, sadly that doesn't happen often enough.

They must come up with a clever staging though, something that's not the usual polished slick stuff you'd associate with this kind of song. Otherwise it will pass completely unnoticed by the first time listeners.

For now a :7:

Now after having listened to the song again, it's not so good anymore. I mean it's okay-ish, but something heard often before. The song is very predictable, but I wouldn't skip it. So it is a :6: for me right now.
Gosh. This year we don't have many ballads yet (it is okay, in other years we had too many of them), but there is no real ballad for me that I like. Estonia sounds way to clicheed for me (yes, she can sing, but that doesn't make it to a good song in my ears), and I just hope that there will be a fantastic ballad coming still this year. The Netherlands and Cyprus are both kind of disappointing. :(
