After very promising choices from Bulgaria and Belgium, this one is not that much, but we will see..

I agree, from all the artists we already know Sandro is the one I´m least enthusiastic about. Right know it´s something like this:

1. Hooverphonic
2. Victoria
3. Blas Cantó
4. Sandro

Here's my top :
1. Sandro
2. Victoria
3. Blas Cantó
4. Hooverphonic

I'm very excited about Sandro's song because it will likely be something very catchy (I hope so) and if it's really like Cyprus did the last 2 years, I'll love it as much as I loved Fuego, Replay, She Got Me, Chameleon.
Then Victoria because I expect something very pop and modern too. Then the two other don't excite me that much. But my views only rely on the names, the last songs of the artist, and the likely style of their song.

Well, opinions can differ. ;)

Interview with wiwibloggs with Sandro: https://www.escunited.com/forum/threads/18755-CYPRUS-2020-Sandro?p=1949555#post1949555
- it's not gonna be a dance banger
- the song is not yet decided
- but it will have a strong serious message
- it's about difficult situations in life (very broadly speaking)

So, this could be a very very touching performance or a really really depressing one.
I was hoping for something upbeat, but if it's well done a ballad can also be very good. Hopefully the strong message is not one we've had too many times already....

Omg, this year bilal hassan was "crucified" for having a strong message. I wonder where will sandro be in that refer. Also, Blas canto says he will have a song everyone can relate to, something universal, he is male and he will also sing a ballad. Why do I habe a strange feeling that these songs will cancel each other and we will probably have more ballads, men and strong messages in 2020 as time goes on.

I knew he wouldn't come at us with some hot summer banger. He has 'bless-i'm-so-deep' heartfelt ballad written all over him. Regardless, as long as it's not some Cyprus 2015 level mess or so sickenly sweet & douchey teen girl style then I'll be happy. People would have only accused them of copying Eleni again anyway, like they did with, Tamta, Bella Santiago, Elvana and anyone else whos song had a pulse because ya know, Eleni invented pop music.

Protests at the street, somebody?

All of them are boarding a plane to Nicosia or where ever in Germany he is living to protest as we speak.

Tumblr, mostly.
Meh, I'm not worried about Cyprus in any way. They're modelling their entry after another, meaning they're playing a follower's game.

Follower games, especially impersonation games, always lose. The objective, I guess, is to place in the top five in the grand final, but I don't think Cyprus will do nearly as well as they would like if they keep going the contraband route.
