As I always say when I refer to oikotimes (they tend to be wrong on occasion) Deep Zone actually was disqualified according to them as it leaked and was published online.

It turns out they were right. as per esctoday:
The Cypriot final for the selection of the local representative for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest sees yet another change after the withdrawal of Nothing is real. The song submitted by the Bulgarian 2008 representatives, Deep Zone, has been disqualified for breeching the CyBC rule about the songs being made available before the night of the final.
The song Play, written by Miglena Staneva and performed by Deep Zone, has been disqualified from the Cypriot final as it was announced by RIK today. The broadcaster’s rules state clearly that no part of the finalist songs can be made available before the night of the final where they will be heard for the first time. Play was found to have been made available on file sharing sites and youtube and although it was withdrawn soon enough the rules have been broken.
They will not be replaced by a different act.

How could they choose a song that has the same couplet as an old one of theirs, let it exist on video share sites and then apply with it for ESC hahaha

Play will not be replaced in the final lineup so there will be one less song.

They were unlucky, I guess. If only Bulgaria didn't have an internal selection this exact year... That's why they probably went for Cyprus, instead.

No, I am a big fan of Deep Zone, but I support Cyprus'es TV on this - the song doesn't follow their rules and they shouldn't be allowed on the final. It's their own fault for not reading the rules.

Constantinos Christoforou - Angel ... white costume and ordinary ballad, lame attempt to gain gay votes by having hunky dancers that imitate playing on violins.
Evagoras Evagorou - I'm gonna be ... sounds/looks like "Star Factory" auditions... not the 1st casting but not the 1st show yet. Nothing special. Simple choreography, though this one is less 4gettable song than "Angel".
Jon Lilygreen & The Islanders - Life looks better in spring ... mmm, acoustic guitar and "guy next door" kind of performer. I like this song more than previous 2 and I really like backing vocals though it won't be enough for ESC imo.
Hovig Demirgian - Goodbye ... groovy tune, so-so lyrics, horrible voice, casual outfit. Overall just like I predicted.
Vivian Daglas - Rhapsody... the worst performance so far. She has no voice, even Christina was better, imo.
