Talking about chances, you can also compare this to Aina mun pitää from :fi: back in 2015. There has also been a lot of fuss around it and it has been very controversial, in the end it totally failed. If I remember correctly it has been high in the odds at the beginning...

F*** it, every year we send some boring trash that pretends to be “ok”.

Well now we have utter, intentional trash. They aren’t even trying to be appealing.
That’s the idea.

Europe, enjoy!
We Austrians have been at that points in 2012 with Trackshittaz after doing terrible for over a decade. It can only go up from there...

I'm sorry to say that to our croatian friends (it's not against your country and tbh i feel bad for the outcome really) here but this is the worst entry ever you've ever sent and even giving it a 0 is generous. If there was the possibility to send a negative score, i would do it. This song is an insult to Eurovision. The song is overtly political and will further damage the reputation of the contest, giving arguments to the haters of our beautiful contest. I hope the EBU will do something and they will be disqualified so Croatia can pick Nevera or any other entry instead, even the song that ended last of the final.

I'm so upset ...

There are juries to tank 'Aina mun pitää', but they made it to top 10 with the televote. Now that the juries are gone in the semis, things might be blooming like 2006-2008 again - Remember Lithuania 2006?

On the plus side, this entry seem to represent BBC's humor very well.

Well we only have the average televoting ranking from the SF right? Looks like they just made it into the televoting top 10, right, I'll give you that. Still not the big success. Well after all we need to wait until May to see how they end.

Talking about :lt: 2006 - this is something totally different in my opinion. This is catchy, fun and accessible for casual viewers so I can see why it did very well back in 2006 (it was also more the time for songs like that back then).

What do I think about this one? What happened? It’s hard to fathom… I see all scores from zero to twelve dancing right before my eyes. I think I have to sleep one more night before I make up my mind. It’s a crazy thing for sure!

Exactly, if Croatia had sent a song like Tix from Norway or Tusse from Sweden or Systur from Iceland, it would be called by ESC bubble "generic" or "forgetable" and wouldn't have qualified for Grand Final anyway.

This way Croatia will not qualify again, but at least you'll have something to talk about, be appaled by, be disgusted by, and call for its disqualification for political views.
Have fun Europe. 🤣

P.S. Kudos to Croatian people for voting for this in a massive slandslide, you showed character and heart. Vukovar 1991 - Mariupol 2022 💛💙✌️

Haters hate on Eurovision no matter what...

:at: 2014 was political and pushed the LGTBQ+ agenda (and was the reason for the flood in the Balkan countries)
:ua: 2016 was political because of Crimea
:ua: 2022 victory was political despite the song being non-political
:az: 2011 victory was bought
- Playback (no real instruments)
- diaspora voting
- neighbouring voting
- everyone hates :de: and :uk: and they just want to take our money
- non-European and non-EU countries taking part
- camp performances = no artistry
- all songs are pop and about love.

You can´t please everyone.. some will complain about "political" songs - some will complain about fun pop songs.
It has always been like that...
