Croatia CROATIA 2016 - Nina Kraljić - Lighthouse

I find it very weird that we didn't get any points from Malta and Hungary. Malta is usually big fan of Croatia. What about Slovenia, though?

Those are pts of SF1 and previously I posted of grand final. Slovenia was in another SF and could vote for Croatia only in final. Nina totally flopped in many countries being out of top 20 in final. However, in Slovenia she was ranked 3rd by televote in grand final and got 8 pts. Second highest (after 10 from Bosnia and rest of pts came from other ex-Yu countries).

Nina slayed and gave her all! I'm soo happy with 23rd place and 73 points, thank you Nina and the HRT delegation. I'm sure things are looking up for Croatia. ^^

I voted for Ukraine too many times & I'm still so happy that I didn't have any time to be sad for Nina.I think she deserved more televoting points but ok.The final performance wasn't the best one and I'm satisfied.
Hope that next year HRT acts more profesionally, sends a radiofriendly song & invests some money in freaking staging.

Her performance last night was bad towards the end, I think the nerves took her or was she ill. Anyway at the beginning I was cheering for her so much as she was on left side of the scoreboard for the first 6-7 jury votes, I thought she was going to do so good but sadly they went towards the bottom.

I feel so sorry for her because she was in my top five this year and I still love this song. I wish her the best and also Croatia for next year

I am so embarassed that the Slovenian jury didn't give a single point to Nina. This was simply atrocious. I hope Croatia will give us 0 points for the next ten years. Nina was just splendid. Keep up the good work, Nina, you will be grand for sure Luv to all you susedi

I think when we have more than 40 countries competing, and almost 30 countries in the final, it's a bit strange to reward only 10 best countries. Many good songs don't get any points from some countries and it's not fair. I would like to see in numbers how many people vote for a song that gets 0 points from a country that placed them 11th. This way, the 11th country is treated the same as 26th and not only that's not fair, it's also kind of stupid. I assume that this table would look a lot different if there were more points to give out. And maybe in that case - some countries wouldn't end up so unexpectedly low in the table.

To refer also on your idea. Well, that's why EBU changed in last few years (before this year) combining of votes. So all rankings (televote and jury) were combined (unless in years before when only top 10 scores were combined).
I honestly think that jury should be maximum 1/3 of all the impact. It should be CORRECTIVE and not DECISIVE factor IMO!

I didn't actually write this because of Nina, but because of all countries that end up in the second part of the table. I think it should make a difference if Croatia or any other country is in someone's 15th place or 20th place, but change in ratings is not influenced by that at all. So in my opinion, the current system gives us a good rating of first 10 countries, but rankings lower than that seem almost random.

Edit: Too bad we can't see televoting results, how they ranked from 11-26 so I can't actually see how would rankings actually look like if they had gotten points, too

Aaaahh now I see This scoreboard keeps confusing me, because as soon as I click on the jury scoreboard to show me highest to lowest ranking, the televote one gets messy. It's a bit frustrating that I can't see highest to lowest ranking from both the jury and the televote at the same time Click here, click there...arghhh Thanks

Ok, so...I made my own scoreboard...giving points from everyone to everyone except their bottom 2 countries, the rest get 1-24. According to that scoreboard, Australia is one point ahead Ukraine...so I possibly made a mistake somewhere... I'm not sure why this happened, maybe just my point system is wrong. I'll give it one more check tomorrow. Also, Spain is in my scoreboard 14th, in the official one it's 22nd. Poor Czech Republic and Germany are bottom 2 in my scoreboard, too. Croatia is one place lower.
