CROATIA 2011 - Daria Kinzer - Celebrate

One of my favorite songs in the first Semi... and also a nice rehearsal today :-)

I don't like the dress change, don't like Daria's "wooden moving" and magician's tricks don't look good For me it all looked kinda messy, except Daria's singing which could have been better as well Since this is only 1st rehearsal, I still hope this whole performance can improve. Otherwise, I won't be sorry when we miss the final again

Wow, is it me or do other Dutch/Belgian users also hear the word 'vreselijk' at the end? At the end of the video you can hear someone from the public/crew saying it!

('vreselijk' means 'awful' in Dutch)

I think the performance is very interesting and has potential but it is also a bit worse than what I expected. Daria sang great, but the magician was unnecessary in the end. The clothes-changing is not something new to the contest, so I am not sure if that will help. But I like the song, and I think it has chances to qualify, that is sure. It is better than it's direct rival Hungary, and by a lot.

I don't "freak out" I just said my opinion. Don't like our performance after 1st rehearsal and what a shame, because I like the song. Not gonna say I like it just because it's my country :roll: Also I've said - "I still hope this whole performance can improve". That was my impression after seeing the 1st rehearsal. You better prepare yourself, so that you don't "freak out" if we miss the final

Here is the second rehearsal. It looks much smoother and I think Croatia will go through. She knows how to catch attention. I love the dress change. The pink looks very nice on her and it enlightens the performance. I think she is very underrated!

Her English is great!

It would be great, if she would sing German at the end of the song, as she has German roots.

I think the staging of this song is a huge let down. Those magic tricks and costume changes are totally unnecessary and distract from the performance. Not to mention that her outfits aren't even that captivating to make a point of changing them. It looks really messy unfortunately.

If her rehearsal is any indication of what her energy during the performance will be like, I think I can count Croatia out. She just seems to be slumping around the stage without too much enthusiasm.

Good luck Croatia! Hope you qualify, but I cannot help that this song looks like the one from Hungary, and that one is better I think.
So maybe for that reason it won't qualify.

This is a total train wreck and not even neighbour / diaspora can save it unless it improves 1000%. Everything about the rehearsal stunk and the mess on stage was embarassing. She sang OK but the song itself is just awful. I agree Hungarys vocals are not good but their song is a million times better than this pile of cack and has a much better chance of qualifying IF she gets the vocals right (a big IF, I admit). Sorry Croatia, but no final this time.

Well you are not in much better positon, I think. No final for Serbia as well. The song is not bad of course but I am just realistic.
