I also don't think we will withdraw :) I expect some Dora changes again

Instead of withdrawing, Croatia should work hard on bringing top quality performers on ESC stage just like in the 90s and the beginning of 00s. Just no more amateurs and street dancers - it just does not work!!!

I feel like I'm liking this song for the wrong reason. Today, my thoughts were rhyming with the beat of this song. I was singing in my head, "buy a book whoo-oo every single book you can" etc.

As you might now, in big esc pool "who you want to represent CRO at esc next year" that is every year organized by our main esc website, this year won Franka Batelić. Her main songwriter Eric Destler (or Boris Djurdevic) who wrote Celebrate was interviewed by that website few days ago. When he was asked about Celebrate he told (full article is in link) that demo of the song was sang by Franka and sounded completely different (with other lyrics) than final version of the song. He told that everyone was sure that Jacques Houdek will win and represent Croatia at esc but that Daria surprised everyone. Then he admitted his mistake as he let Jacques that with his collaborators he makes change on a song to better suit him (as everyone was sure he is going to esc). That is how we got "Break a leg" on English as they didn't like first lyrics (I believe that originally were written by Boris). As in the end Jacques didn't win and Daria went to esc, they had short time for new lyrics that suited better new version of the song.
As before competition he had to decide which version of the song he should decide and he decided (as he admits) for "wrong" version that better suits Jacques as he thought there is no way that Jacques will not win.

In collaboration with him, there is demo version of "Celebrate" (that personally I think is much better). There is notice that also this wasn't mean to be final version, still some details should be sold. But Franka sounds fantastic and song defeniteley suits here more!

Here you will find the song in Franka's version

Much better than Daria's version, but the lyrics are still pretty meh. I don't like the long "I believe" it feels empty.

Franka can pull songs like this, but not Daria IMO

Wow, apart from the basic arrangements and cheesy backing vocalists, it would have been more than decent with Franka and these lyrics.

I recently decided that life was too short to dislike this song as much as I did.

Maybe I'm weird, but I think this is the second best Croatian entry in 2010s! Back in 2011 it was in my top 15. I don't understand the hatred :/

It's the best song among the Croatian non-qualifier songs... not that it takes too much, I mean, at least it's a song that is easy to be remembered, unlike all the other sleeping pills.
