I'm for Balkan ethno ballad, composed by Zeljko Joksimovich - its again international stuff :D

That could be good too...

Atleast it wouldn't feel unnatural as some imported Swedish entry in English would...

I honestly hope Bulgaria continue in Eurovision, so much potential there. Samo Shampioni if i'm honest, did not work. It didn't come across well on screen but I suppose at the same time something must have worked in order for them to come a respectable 12th in the semi.

They should take a leaf out of Hungary's book and send something very risky and not something that's designed to win the support of a similar song they did 6 years ago. An ethno ballad might be good perhaps, something very dark.

Just please don't leave, will be a sad day if they do.

Seems that BNT woke up in better mood and they are no more obsessed with these dark withdrawal spirits :D
They are like the title of Poli's song "Na inat" and maybe they won't give up even this time after all...

Also,i am pretty sure that Bulgaria was again in top10 of semi in televoting.
So,maybe you have just have to find a way to take more jury votes.
So an ethno ballad would be amazing solution for next year.

Yeah, an ethno-ballad could be a good combo... the people like ethno (not the juries), but the juries like ballads and vocals...

An Ethno-ballad or a strong chalga from Andrea (I think that he's very popular in Bulgaria and she have nice songs)

Local media insists BNT to analyze the situation and to take measures, but not to withdraw. They suggest the preparations for the next contest to start soon and the song to be chosen early in order to be well promoted.
One of the most popular and relialable newspapers "Trud" has big article about Eurovision, full of suggestions.

If Andrea, it HAS to be uptempo because she's not enough of a live singer to manage a ballad, but she's enough to manage an uptempo song and she's a great show artist...

What suggestions do they have?

1.) BNT to start the preparations as soon as possible.
2.) To bring more professionals and people which follow and understand the Eurovision trends, if needed to hire someone foreign.
3.) To bring back the NF and to involve foreign proffesionals and choreographs in order to improve performance after certaing song is selected.
4.) To be more active and to insist for changes in the rules in order to make more easy for countries like Bulgaria, San Marino and other with bad record to qualify to the finals.
5.) To give chance and work intensively with the young Bulgarian performers.
6.) Our song to have good video and to be well promoted on the radios and TV's at least in our neighbour countries. They suggest partnership with Balkanika TV in this for example.

The ones in bold are ok, the rest xpuke

NO foreigners! I could be ok with people like Costi Ionita (Romania) or Flori Mumajesi (Albania) since they are actually actively working on the Bulgarian music scene and with Bulgarian acts, but what looks to me is that BNT simply wants to sell-out like the rest and buy some random Swedish made song in English with zero connection to the Bulgarian music scene...

A lot of people in forums are obsessed with the Azerbaijani and Ukraine songs and performances and claim that BNT should follow their example and to bring something as classy as these two. I don't know what will be the best, but at least I'm happy that it seems that actually people care...There are a lot comments on this topic.

The Azeri one classy?? I mean the song was ok and the performance was ok, but it was still a kinda cliché ballad that we've heard in ESC plenty of times already.

Well, perhaps BNT would need help with performances, but you don't need to lower yourself to the level that you need to rely on the works of Swedes for the songs though...

Ukraine's song wasn't imported from abroad, they rarely imported anything and if they did it was works by people who are active on the Ukrainian music scene and not some random Swedish dudes... so they are a good proof that you can come up with great entries without foreign help.

Emilia - "Kukla"

Out of all the Chalga hits of the past year, I think this is one of the worst ones xshrug

Especially Emilia had far better songs than this...

But yeah, I'm all for chalga in ESC!!!

For me it's THE BEST one @ A-lister! :mrgreen::lol:

because it begins like Chinese song , and it reminds me of RnB and it's not that fast, it has ballads elements! :)

Probably will be someone young. But BNT this time will search for song and then for artist to sing it.

Maybe Dess?

As long as she keeps her name DESISLAVA then I'm all fine... I think her international stage-name sounds like a 8 year old girl or something
