Have you got two channels with the name BNT? :?

Are those other channels members of EBU though? Because only then can they apply for Eurovision.

No, I mistyped, we have only 1 BNT :D

I don`t know if they are members of the EBU, but if they`re not, I hope they will be soon :)

Well, it if it means better Bulgarian entries for Eurovision, I hope they will be too ! :)

I think if we change the broadcaster, we`ll have better NFs and we will increase the quality of our participations - not only songs, but better singers, videos, PR campaign etc. Don`t forget that they are private chanels, who will do everything for better rating :D

Nova TV isn't national TV ,only national televisions can be a part of EBU. Bulgaria has only one national TV,sponsored by the national budget and it's BNT. So,only BNT can organize Eurovision in Bulgaria.

uhm... BTV and Nova TV ae national TV stations :) They have national range, that`s why we call them national, not because our tax money go to them, that makes BNT government TV, not national ;) BTV is on the frequency of the old Efir 2 which was national too ;)

You don`t have to pay for cable operator to get BTV and Nova TV, right, you can get them thru antenna ;)

@Nikolay - U probably meant 'National Frequencies' instead of National TV?
There can be national frequencies (Public) and national frequencies (Private) - there r usually many private TV's with national frequencies, but it doesn't make them national (public) TV.
EBU members r Public TVs, funded by public money (ppl pay for Public TV admission), or in some countries state budget.
I think only sometimes Private TV can become EBU member but has to have 'public mission' whatever EBU thinks is public mission. (I guess they wouldn't accept commercial chalga TVs in EBU), that's why BNT should be open for chalga, I don't see how otherwise chalga singers can go to the ESC.

This is a song that should be in english.
It will be dificult for Bulgaria to qualify if the song is in bulgarian.

I agree, this type of song lends itself well to English and it will just be handicapping it's chances if they stick with Bulgarian.

I want it in English too,but the powerful lyrics are great and better in Bulgarian and Poli feels it better in Bulgarian.

It will be boring in english, come on everybody heard tons of songs like that in english ;)
The bulgarian lyrics make it some kind of strange and unusual ;)

Please correct me if I do any mistake! I'll try to translate what Poli says in the magazine!

In the cover she says: "I don't want a boyfriend from the showbiz".
And inside she says: "This was my last try for eurovision".

Isn't it? :)

Yes, that's exactly right. Do you know Bulgarian?

Great to hear that! Way to go!

And seriously @ people wanting this in English; Haven't you already heard like 100 songs in this style in English? What's wrong with Bulgarian? Where's your "EUROvision spirit" guys.. c'mon!

As for public/private channels in EBU. There's no rule against private channels to take part. In Sweden for instance TV4 (private) is an EBU member.

Ummm BTW I never heard a song from Sweden in Swedish in the past 10 years. Also Sweden never gave us even 1 point,I doubt we could get some points when the song is in Bulgarian.
I see only Macedonia giving us points.

But i'll say it again...the only important think is the stage performance..the moment!!!

Sweden doesn't send entries in Swedish because Sweden is LAME, so don't learn from us.

Unfortunately, I don't think Swedes will vote for Bulgaria even if it's in English :( But that's just speculation, but please don't make me responsible for Swedes taste and choices in Eurovision though.

And whatever, a good song is good because the song is good, not because of the language it uses, and as I've said many times in here before, native language gives it character.

I'm happy to hear she's planning on keeping it Bulgarian.
