When that last minute arrives, it is impactful yeah, but the journey to it is the main problem that I think will be it’s undoing with the public.Comfortably my favourite this year. I love the song including the first two minutes. I think Mustii has what it takes to grab the viewers' attention right at the start and as the song builds which it does continuously from beginning to end the viewer will be pulled in until the climax when they will be jumping out of their seats and punching the air. I think people are sleeping on how impactful it is the first time he screams out "until the party is over". When was the last time a Eurovision song had such an explosive and dramatic moment? ARM 14 and 16 spring to mind as does UKR 21, but I think this tops them. With him being such an established artist I'm sure he will make the most of it. I don't mind the repetition, when you have such an amazing moment, why not keep it going and hammer it home? I wouldn't change a thing about it and can't wait to see it in its full glory in Malmo.

To me at Eurovision, you pitch your song to the general public and you’ve got to grab their attention or at the very least set the stall out as to what your song is very fast.
Whether that’s pop banger, full on ballad or something else, you kind of have to get your song’s core vibe over in the first 30 seconds to me. That’s the key to success. If you can do it even sooner, the better.
This presents itself as a ballad for basically 2 minutes and then switches in a jarring way. That switch will grab people’s attention no doubt, but they may have already lost interest in the preceding 2 minutes.
I can see it getting to the final alright but doing underwhelming in the final as general viewer will be a bit ‘is that it?’ as it ends just as it seemingly got good.
I don’t think the end of Cha Cha Cha is that different from its beginning tbh. It’s quirky right from the off and stays that way throughout. The ending of the song is very different to the beginning but can you think of any songs which end differently which has been to the detriment of an entry? The obvious example that springs to mind is Kaarija which had two totally different songs in one and it did him no harm.
If you find the transitions jarring that surprises me, I think its totally natural and works brilliantly. Clearly it depends on whether the public and jury see it your way or mine.
Yes, absolutely, he has to grab their attention from the start, he can't afford to write off the first two minutes and hope to rescue things in the last 40 seconds. Personally I think he has the artistry and gravitas to achieve this, plus I find the song compelling right from the start. If I am right and viewers are engaged from the start then they have a hell of a ride ahead of them as the song unfolds.
@empo21 Need I remind you that Ukraine 2024 who is much more repetitve is first in the odds. Chachacha was super repetitive and got first with tele, it is not repetitive because it is different than first part and stronger and builds so beautifully and accompanied with visuals and staging it is so impactful. Like an chant or anthem.
How can it be boring to you. I just need more. Ohh "you are left expecting what is next and it just ends". You wanna say you need more but it was so good it felt quick and shorter than 3 minutes. That's actually a good thing.
I didn't see what everyone saw in Gustaph and he finished top 7 in final. And I'm so glad because of it but this here is instantly grabs your attention for whole 3 mins. It's all so beautifully done, and this has huge winner vibes.
Sorry if you don't like it, actually I couldn't care but I love it and that's all it matters. And yeah call me troll but I will defend Mustii all the way through so go on with troll attempts trying to have contra even though you may not agree with what you are writing and you know it's good. So bare with me.
