Wow ... I like the song, but I was a bit worried about the performance. But this sounds great, especially the vocals. But I am still worried about the staging, this could be not outstanding enough to qualify. I hope they do.

I'm pleased. Even if we NQ, it'll be because we're outclassed by the other iconic entrants in the semi and NOT because we were awful. (I WOULD HOPE! May i have this naive hope? please???)

I agree. This song doesn't need to have an elaborated staging. But the staging needs to create a mood or atmosphere. A warm intimate setting to juxtapose with the cool vibe of the song, with the tight camera angles without showing the audience (if there is one) should do the trick.

They are past their peak popularity and acclaim (early 00s) but they are the biggest name participating and possibly the only act with some international career this year at the ESC. And also the only artist / band that I have already known before the ESC (I mean before cancelled 2020 Eurovision, excluding Rafał Brzozowski from Poland). But I think that people who typically listen to Hooverphonic or similar music (trip-hop genre) do not necessarily watch Eurovision. Albeit maybe this year they will.

Their biggest hit was 'Mad About You' released in 2000.

As for the song itself, it’s one of the good ones this year, really deserves final. belgium just can't be outclassed. cuz its by far the most classy entry in the semi. im losing faith to humanity if this won't qualify. basically a top10 is the only deserved placement for a song like this..

That was a great, professional performance. I continue to think this will get a very big jury score as well as, now that we know the performance won't be a Glorious wreck (see what I did there?), a very big televote score helped along by the name attached.

Belgium should and will qualify. It will stand out so much in that semi.

This year's entry is a step up from last year, both melodically, composition-wise and lyrically, however I can't say I'm particularly impressed. It's not a bad song, but it's quite bland and forgettable still. I didn't really know about Hooverphonic before last year, but if this is their standard "style", then I'm not really here for it, it's a pretty boring and depressive style to be frank. However, it is still one of the better "slow" songs for me and I'd rank it in the top. 25.
