From what I've been told by a friend who has submitted a song, they are eliminating songs in stages. It's not clear whether they are just picking one song or if they are narrowing down entries for a public selection.

Based on the emails floating around, the selection is called "Een song voor Iris." That might just be what they are calling the whole project rather than a television program, but who knows it seems very "behind closed doors."

The only dates their could be a date is 11th or 18th of March..
but i have a feeling we will have totally no show at all

No, The VRT won't do that in my opinion. How little as the show could be, there will be one in my opinion. Where would they do it otherwise? The show-section "De Rode Loper (The red carpet)" is gone, so they don't have any other possibilities than a show. Or in Vrienden Van De Veire ...

It's weird they didn't announce anything yet IMO.

A song presentation in "Vrienden van de veire" is indeed possible, didn't think of that.
But like now we have Tomtesterom and Witse on Sunday evening.
When they want a show for Iris, they need to skip one of those, don't know

We can now exclusively reveal 2 more participating acts for Eurovision in Concert 2012. Anggun, the French representative in this year's Eurovision Song Contest and the Belgian hopeful Iris, will both take part in the promo event which will be held in Amsterdam on April 21.
Until so far 6 countries have confirmed their participation, but it is expected that the event will attract more than 20 participating acts in the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest. Hosts of this year’s edition will be Ruth Jacott (Eurovision 1993) and Cornald Maas. Ruth Jacott will open the show with Vrede, her Eurovision entry back in 1993. Cornald Maas has been the male host as well during the previous 3 events.
The following 6 acts have already confirmed their participation:

• France - Anggun - You and I
• Cyprus – Ivi Adamou – La la love
• Turkey – Can Bonomo – Love me back
• Switzerland - Sinplus - Unbreakable
• Belgium - Iris - Song to be announced
• San Marino – Act to be announced

Traditionally the event will consist out of 2 parts: a day program (for press only) and a concert. Fans from all over Europe are expected to come over to the Dutch capital to join event. Tickets will be priced € 26,00 in pre sale and remaining tickets at the door will cost € 30,00.

Well yeah it's obvious it will be in English
but the type of song: no idea

If their will be a seperate show, it will certainly not be at 11th of March.

Smart move, now when Denmark and Netherlands are sending something in a style of what I believe they had in mind for Iris, it's for the better they take their time at the drawing-board. They better surprise us.

I think Belgium will have the shortest NF of this season

First part is from 20.00 until 20.15 cet (!)
Second part is a part in the weekly show "Vrienden van de veire" from 22.00 cet until 22.55 cet but televoting results will only be revealed at the end
