Are there any rules for the language in this years national final? I'd like to see something in Russian/Belarusian for a change, at least a part of the song.

I'm not even gonna listen to their first picked song because 99% it won't be the actual song representing them.

I'd love for a song in Belarussian (or Russian), but they insist on sending badly pronounced English instead :(

Yes and I really don't understand that. I'm not a person who always wants to have songs in the native language, I'm also happy about nice songs in English but Belarus and also Azerbaijan for example always has sent songs in English as long as I'm watching, and the main thing is: If you sing in English than you should at least know about what you are singing. But the English of most of the Belarusian participants was so damn bad.. most of them couldn't even speak a few sentences.

Any news from Belarus, their national selections are always entertaining

I hear Princess Diana I mean Dmitry Koldun , hasn't had much of a career since ESC. Since he does have their best result and one of the better English accents I think a collaboration between him and Alexander Rybak would be cool.

And because I missed out on 2007 and didn't get the chance...

His english was just as atrocious but I loved him and his song. Best Belarusian entry by a mile. I'd love to have him back.

The song submission deadline is today, let's hope we'll get to hear those songs soon.

If they will continue tp sing on English than I hope we'll never hear them

I love Belaruss only when I'm drunk

Lol, its even more funny that they sing in English, considering most of the singers can't even speak the language or understand it.

It's true their English (if you can call it that xthink) really sucks but I can't blame them. I don't think a jury would let them pass the semi singing in their native language and they barely pass to start with. xshrug

I hope to see an uptempo song again for Belarus. They are much better in that than in ballads and in catchy songs you don't notice their bad English that much. I just can't get why most of them are singing in a language they don't even understand.
And I also don't think that the juries would give them less points if they would sing in Russian, it just depends on the song. A song like Solayoh could also have been sung easily in Russian and I'm very sure it wouldn't change the points much.. I mean seriously how could the jury give more points to a song which is sung in very poor english most of the people don't understand than their native language??

Their uptempo songs are usually better. xcheer

"My Galileo" still rules, even if I can't understand a single word except Galileo:lol:!

Are there any preselected plant rumors yet? :D

Nuteki & Aura will take part at Eurofest 2013 final :)

Aura has released one of the few Belarussian-language Pop songs I've ever heard actually. I think it's about time that Belarus sends an entry in a language they atleast can manage to pronounce somewhat credible.
