Are you for real? Pumped Up Kicks is about the mindframe of someone committing a school shooting, hardly silly or playful.

Oh sorry, i wanted to write Pump it, gonna fix that.
I don't know why this title popped out, it's serious lyrics wrapped into playful music, doesn't fit into the category.

The title made me expect something similar to Serbia's Moje 3 last year.... anyway, uhhhhhh.... this has a pretty cool sound, and the singer is pretty funny and charismatic, but it's too repetitive. It's the exact same chord progression for 3 minutes, it should have at least some part that breaks it off.... the background "dancers" didn't improve anything either. If they rework the song considerably, maybe they could get a decent placement, but it would be all because of TEO himself and not the song...

Actually, we got enough scandal in the final with the juries' hearts

I hope he and the entry will stay... I can't believe we almost got that über lame song instead...

i don't think it was the singers who changed the songs in the editions before.
anyhow it would be a positive surprise if they just leave the choice like it was.
the people voted for the song, so that's the one that should represent Belarus. It's weird the Belarussians didn't complain in the years before xcrazy

Neither do I xshrug

Belarussians complaining? I doubt they're very used (or comfortable for that matter) to complain against any decision coming from a higher position (in these occasions that'd be the national broadcaster). I mean did you hear any boos when the jury decided the winner after the tie (and the win went to the jury winner and not televoting winner)? xshrug

... though, in this very case I agree with the juries since I found the televoting winner dreadfully boring... I also don't really trust that that "win" was 100% correct either tbh xshrug

I think It's just best to treat the whole Belarussian selection as a big joke to be honest.

Are you sure the reaction wasn't pre-recorded?

This will never get old:

This is worth repeating

Belarus' National Selections History

EuroFest 2003/04: Aleksandra & Konstantin - Moj Galilej
-> in ESC 2004: Aleksandra & Konstantin - My Galileo (same song, English version).

EuroFest 2004/05: Angelica Argurbash - Boys and Girls
-> in ESC 2005: Angelica Argurbash - Love Me Tonight (new song).

EuroFest 2006: Polina Smolova enters the song "Sait odinochestva" in the semi-final, changes in the final to the new entry "Mama".
-> in ESC 2006: Polina Smolova - Mum (I think this is the same version as in the NF of Eurofest 2006, just the title is changed to more 'correct' English).

EuroFest 2007: Dimitry Koldun enters the song "Angel mechty" in semi-final, but changes to the whole new song "Work Your Magic" in the NF.
-> in ESC 2007: Dimity Koldun - Work Your Magic

EuroFest 2008: Ruslan Alekhno - Hasta la vista (original disco-ish version).
-> in ESC 2008: Ruslan Alekhno - Hasta la vista (revamped rockier version).

EuroFest 2009: Petr Elfimov - Eyes that Never Lie <- no changes made for ESC.

Musical Court 2010: Artjom Mihalenko - Don't Play in Love
-> the runner-up entry "Far Away" by the group 3+2 (including Artjom Mihalenko) gets picked instead.
-> in ESC 2010: 3+2 - Butterflies (another new song for ESC).

Internal selection 2011: Anastasia Vinnikova - Born in Byelorussia. This song changes lyrics and becomes "I Am Belarussian" however...
-> in ESC 2011: Anastasia Vinnikova - I Love Belarus (a whole new song after the previous one apparently broke the rules).

EuroFest 2012: Alyona Lanskaya - All My Life
-> in ESC 2012: Litesound - We are the Heroes (Alyona and her entry gets disqualified after alleged vote-rigging, a slightly revamped version of the runner-up entry by Litesound enters ESC instead).

EuroFest 2013: Alyona Lanskaya - Rhythm of Love
-> in ESC 2013: Alyona Lanskaya - Solayoh (new song).

Update:

National final 2014: TEO - Cheesecake
-> in ESC 2014: TBA
