But making such patriotic (IMO even nationalistic) lyrics rubs me the wrong way and you know a lot of people (and you know I'm not referring to die hard fans but the casual viewers) will just roll their eyes especially lyrics like this coming from Belarus.

I don't care about silly entries like Ireland, Moldova etc but if a country is pushing a certain agenda, I just cannot approve of that.

I can agree with you, that is why I don't want to like the song, cause I am 100% sure it is a political song. Though, I just can't refuse the catchyness that this song has, IMO, this song might have one of the best choruses in the contest (maybe not lyricswise, but in composing). I think many people at home will find that very catchy and enjoyable, but won't vote because of the obvious statement that the song has.

Well I am not sure how to rate this one, because I am not sure if I like it because it's good or because the previous version was so horrendous :D 7 points

Erm, catchy yes but the lyrics are awful and i think the viewers are going to agree with me... i cant see people voting for it. I love belarus...who cares? It wont become last, but its a sure non qualifier. 5 points.

I don't think the lyrics are more awful than many of the other songs and if she sang "I love Europe" or whatever (we had an awful song like that in MF some years ago) then people wouldn't think twice.

As I said; just as this song is political, is the people's interpretation and reaction to it aswell which is also based on political perception.

Oh, I love this song! It's highly addictive, lol. Wanna hear it again and again.
New version is less 'soviet' imo, but it's still nationalistic...I mean lyrics:S
She sings awful and I can hardly understand her, but nevermind...song is funny, happy, interesting, catchy and has cool musical instrument (I don't know how it's called), I really like it. One of most interesting entries this year.
Hopefully this qualify, because I'd like to see it twice in Dusseldorf stage.
Give it 10p for now...

It is so bizarre and odd, and at a same time addictive and secretly hoping this would do a top5. Well, I can't hate this. I will join the love and give Belarus 10 points!

in my opinion 'born in belorussia' will go down as the most memorable disqualification in eurovision history..
somehow with no time to spare belarus have managed to conjure a fantastic substitute in 'i love belarus'
the way the song has been written the word 'belarus' can be replaced with the name of another country, or a person or anything..
for example.. 'i love beetlejuice'.. ;) i love anastasiya.. she gives 100% in both songs.. really hope she does well in germany!

I think chances are low to see this in the final :(

The juries will so NOT vote for it and Belarus has got only two "friends" in their semi (Ukraine and Moldova).

Personally I think this is one of Belarus' best entries to date actually.

I am pretty sure Macedonia will vote for Belarus as well.

If they actually went with Zeljko Joksimovic / Irina Dorofeeva I am sure their chances would have been much better

Well, call me crazy , call me retarded, but I liked the first version sooo much better! Even the lyrics grew on me the more I listened to the song. And I don't take them serious, I just laugh about them and let me get entertained by a really catchy song. :-D I already had the performance in my head, complete with army costumes and a red background... It's a shame Europe will never get the chance to listen to this!

Btw, it somehow reminds me of Dschingis Khan, Moskau is one of my favourite songs. ;-)

Ironically people would have no problem with the song if that was the case. But God forbid if someone from Belarus sings they love Belarus, because they just must hate it or otherwise it's apparently propaganda xshrug

But I love how mentioning any other country or "Europe" in the song would have been no problem though :?

I do hope people realize that this mindset is equally as political as this song might be aswell.

Oh no, that's tacky as hell.

I hate songs that actually use the word "Eurovision", makes me think of that awful "We are the winners".

And the song would lose its point and what actually makes it kinda hilarious. It would be lame I think.

No, Belarus it should be!

This revamped version is incomparable to the first version. I loved both, though.

I love how the first version made me laugh so much, but I love this version, cause it seems to be one of the few modern sounding songs with lots of ethnic elements to it. It sort of reminds me of Moldova's entry in 2009.

10 points from me! :)
