At least Russia has elections, that sort of represent the will of the people, not candidates (President's family member) winning 96% of the vote . As I said, Russia is extremely corrupt, but a democracy nonetheless.
Azerbaijan's problem is the donkey President and his family. Not Armenia.

Haha not Armenia? Dude you really should read a news about this area. What kind of election Putin back again? After double time president and now 6 years? Next time forever? Putin is the father of this regime ..looool )))))

Russia has less prisoners of conscience than Azerbaijan, for example.

In the last presidential elections, in 2008, the biggest opposition parties boycotted the elections... How can someone talk about unfair elections by not taking part in these elections by themselves? By boycotting elections, opposition harmed itself. The only real candidate was I.Aliyev and that is why he got 87.34% of votes. And no one could say anything, because he really gained these votes due to the absence of opposition :) The decision of opposition to boycott the elections was one of the dumbest decisions ever made ...

Where were the bbc when Russia made Eurovision 2009? ))))) oh may be scared :////?

Totally agree that Russia is no better than Azerbaijan. Their elections are rigged and the opposition aren't allowed a presence in state-controlled media. However, the BBC didn't need Eurovision to give them an excuse to point this out. Russia is a big enough deal to mention these problems in the news for its own sake.

The difference in 2012 is that many people had never heard of Azerbaijan before Eurovision and had no idea what's going on there.

OWL, I think you're one of the regime's online agents. There's no way you could support donkey otherwise.
I dont get what you mean about discrimination and racism? Are you saying that I and others who condemn human rights abuse are racist?
As for refugees, who are these 1 million? If you are talking about the refugees that come to Britain, France and Germany, they are illegal immigrants, we must protect our borders. We give people asylum status though if they are facing abuse in their own country.

We're for Azerbaijan, against donkey.
