Stay
The story barely started
Can't you
Stay
Do you really want no part of this
Oh so sweet
Reverie
You back off slowly through the door
You always go and blame the weather
The weather

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

And I'm numb, numb
Numb, numb

Wait
I need some time to fix this can't you wait ?
We can't afford to miss this
You back off slowly through the door
You always go and blame the weather
The weather

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

And I'm numb, numb
Numb, numb

We're living in a memory
The present is the price I pay
Fade to black
Fade to black

It hurts so fast
When love goes bad
Until at last
We fade to black

Nadir was in Eldar‘s team in the Voice of Azerbaijan. I believe the initiative to sing Eurovision songs was coming mostly from Eldar.
Didn´t he perform "We Could Be The Same" in the audition round?

Ah, I see - but they can still "refuse" them to sing or do contestants have to sing the chosen songs by their coaches?
(I don´t want any talent shows anymore and I have no clue how this one works...).

This is so true. However, not in this case. Eldar helped him a lot in choosing right songs but the last word was always Nadir’s. They stated that during the show. Also the connection between them was really strong so they kept being friends even after the show.

That´s very interesting that you change foreign names even though you also use the Latin alphabet.

Unfortunately, I didn´t enjoy Nadir´s performance of "Writing´s on the Wall". He clearly is able to hit the notes and it´s very difficult for men to sing that high... but it´s not what I really like.. that was also part of the reason why I hate Azerbaijan´s first Eurovision entry.
I´m afraid they will be looking for a ballad for Nadir to sing - maybe something in the vain of Azerbaijan 2015 to make use of "his impressive way of singing these high notes"? - This would be a mistake, imo - since he can´t really convey or evoke any emotions through his voice. - They really should be going for a fun/up-tempo entry to make up for the lack of emotions.

Azerbaijan's been due for a ballad anyway. Based on the last few years, we can expect some traditional elements. Something like When The Music Dies would be welcome

Azerbaijan is my favourite country at the contest, theres not a single entry of theirs that I didnt like.
Hes cute, his voice sounds a bit annoying to me from that The voice clip, but it could work with a suitable song.

His voice is more suitable for something rock-ish I think. Those Səs Azərbaycan performances aren't that spectacular tbh so I'm keeping my expectations low :"D Perhaps something in Azeri?

niyə Azərbaycan niyə...... I was ready to vibe with Nazryn but welp..

I don't wanna be rude..................... I have watched his the Voice Azerbaijan performances and I can't see why he won? It's like budget Elnur Huseynov.

My expectations are very low, but it's good to have low expectations so I might be positively surprised.

Also on a side note, when are you hiring me as your HoD so I bless Europe with my exquisite tasteful selection of Azerbaijani pop with the likes of Xatun, Sevil&Sevinch and

His selection to fly the Azerbaijan flag in Turin came just 3 weeks after Nadir was voted to be the winner of The Voice of Azerbaijan. The second series of the popular TV show concluded on 28 January, with Nadir polling more than 40% of the audience’s votes towards the final line-up.

Nadir’s mentor on The Voice of Azerbaijan was Eldar Gasimov, who is best known outside of his country for winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Azerbaijan in 2011, with Running Scared, a duet with Nikki. Nadir admits that Eurovision was most definitely on his mind when he chose Eldar to be his coach on the programme, as representing his country at the Eurovision Song Contest has always been a dream of his, so he naturally gravitated towards the famous Contest winner.
