Goooosh Azerbaijan is now 4th on betting odds!?
I really dont see anything in that Azerbaijan..
I cant hear his vocals..backings cover his all the time as I expected and predicted..
If there is any justice, and I know there isn’t, jury shouldn’t vote him that much..

My top 10 from 1st rehearsals, for now, is:
1. GEORGIA
2. RUSSIA
3. MACEDONIA
4. AUSTRALIA!!!!
5. HUNGARY
6. PORTUGAL
7. THE NETHERLANDS
8. SLOVENIA
9. MOLDOVA!!!!
10. SWEDEN!!!! /ARMENIA/SERBIA!!!!
Waiting for BIG 5 and Israel now..
I hope Germany, Italy ane Isreal will enter my top 10! :)

You didn't see it coz the rehearsal clip didn't show the amazing elements of the staging. There's a reason why it got the largest cheers from the press in the rehearsals yesterday and that's because he blew everyone out of the waters.

As for the vocals, I'm pretty sure you can hear him very audibly during the chorus. He did the falsettos with the help of the backing vocalists. People need to understand that part of the song is the hardest to translate to live vocals and even the most skilled vocalist will not be able to replicate that alone without any help. If anything, Chingiz managed to do it well with the help rendered and did not butcher it. And people need to know he didn't get the biggest cheers because he is vocally amazing. It is because he did an excellent job in the overall package and presentation of the song i.e. Staging/stable vocals/stage presence.

Chingiz did an acoustic version of the song at the meet & greet yesterday. I think the delegation has picked the right backing vocalists to further enhance Chingiz's performance.
Chingiz definitely can sing, there is no doubt about it. But the backing vocalists did push the vocal department of the song even further, almost replicating the studio effects.
Love it!!

He is hot and I guess a good live performer, the song doesn't do anything for me though and it's not something that strikes you with the first listen so I am not sure how the public will treat it, for an uptempo song is kind of boring tbh. I see juries being friendlier towards it that the general public as it sort of sounds like the type of "Pop" they can accept.

Tumblr, mostly.
Meh. I wonder how much of this current soar in odds comes from genuine support and not Mickeys waking up from their paranoid place, spinning in and out of space, on a route to Insanestanbul.

It seems that this will be Milanovs 4th Top5 in a Row, instead of :mt:.
But why not? He surely deserves it.

I agree with you. Even though we don't know how the whole rehearsal was, of course, I generally don't like the song. For me, Georgia and Iceland were my top rehearsals. :D

I really really like this song [even in my top 10] but I can't see this anywhere near top 5, tbh. It wouldn't be fair either, because there are so many artists who seem to have put much more effort in their song and performance and who truly deserved it.

Having this on my Spotify list for the last weeks and humming on it every day, I am really pleased to see that Azerbaijan delivers for real the one year where I tried to not be very hyped about their entry. I was always worried about Chingiz's live vocals but he delivered more than enough yesterday :D
Sure there's backing singers but I feel like I'm clearly able to hear his voice in the mixture of voices

Can't wait to see it all live as it sounded quite magnificent! The little clip we got doesn't justify the hype from the press center at all, so we'll need to wait for the exclusive clip of the 2nd rehearsal

I am happy I am not the cameraman, because I wouldn't be able to focus at all. I want to pet this cub so much.

this kind of song needs absolutely huge backing vocals to have this kind of pitchy voice effect so that makes sense to me that we don't hear him that much

nowhere winning btw

Chingiz reveals his truly technological staging

“I love my staging, it's absolutely cool! Obviously, the inspiration behind it is my entry song, ‘Truth'. The idea is that my heart is broken and I need to replace it with a bionic one,” says Chingiz about his Eurovision staging. “Some robot helps me literally get rid of it and forget about my ex. I realize that only accepting the truth and leaving my toxic love behind can heal me.”

With Chingiz alone on stage, unique graphics help the artist tell his dramatic love story. The images are delivered by Front Pictures creative studio, who also created visuals for Jamala’s Eurovision 2016 winning act, put together stunning performances at America’s Got Talent and, most recently, collaborated with P!nk at The BRIT Awards 2019. To create the stage video for Chingiz’s performance, the Azerbaijani delegation worked with GST, a leading Moscow-based production company that produces some of the biggest events in the region.

The stage director for 'Truth' is Mads Enggaard, an experienced Eurovision professional who previously served as Eurovision 2017 viewing room producer and 2019 Danish Melodi Grand Prix contest producer.

“The idea of the "Truth" staging is visually impressive and strikingly bold,” said Azerbaijan’s Head of Delegation, Husniye Maharramova, “Azerbaijan has participated in Eurovision for 11 years, and you have seen a lot of memorable, fiery and even romantic stagings by our delegation. But this is something totally new and emotional from us. I’m really looking forward to seeing how viewers relate to the story on May 16th."

Chingiz’s performance will serve as an anticipated closing act of the Eurovision 2019 semi-finals - 'Truth' is the 18th and final song in the running order of the second semi-final."
