I can't believe it took me that long to realise... that that should be the first year that Azerbaijan didn't hold Turkish flags in green room.

I think it was only with Nikki Jamal, because her husband is Turkish. Even if there are good relations between two countries people should stick to their own flags imo.

Farid and Elnur were also. Only not sure about Dilara. It would make sense Farid using the flag since it was the first year that Turkey withdrew. It was kinda heartwarming message for Turkish esc fans. Same counts for Elnur since he won The Voice of Turkey that year, as a gratitude.

Just listened to Running Scared live performance again. That won! And she was waaaaay worse vocally than Samra!
Thankfully Eldar was there to make up for that. :?

Why would Azerbaijani artist wave a flag of another country in the green room? You shouldn't be surprised. Azerbaijan is a sovereign entity after all. Perhaps Turkey and Azerbaijan share similar language but so do Moldova and Romania. However, no one from Moldovan delegation was waving Romanian flag.

Because its evil Azerbaijan and many won't be satisfied unless they were eliminated in the semi. It's amazing reading the joy that some fans were expressing over Greece's failure, I just imagine what it would be like if it were Azerbaijan. I expect complete euphoria from a large sector of fans when and if it were to happen
