Re: AZERBAIJAN 2012

if our gov wants they will build that arena in very short terms. They are also building some project by Zara Hadid (I hope I haven't misspelled her name) It is almost over but I am not sure about the size. I think they are thinking now what to do - either to rennovate the old one or .. Anyway, as soon as we learn smt we'll share the news with you guys. At the moment everyone has gone to greet our duo, they are arriving in Baku in a couple of hours.

And here you can look at my beautiful Baku (and yes we have a lot of fountains here)

Iths the new Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center by Zaha Hadid... great, I follow the architecture projects in Baku!

Now I hope to see a new arena developing for Eurovision 2012! Start building tomorrow! :D

Re: AZERBAIJAN 2012

and I hope ITV will broadcat it in full HD 5.1. And I really wonder where they are gonna do this, as their biggest stadium can only hold 7000 guys.

Our biggest stadium which is located in the centre of Baku has a capacity of 30 000. Have a look - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofig_Bahramov_Stadium

And the one that holds 7000 is not a stadium, it is a sport complex.

I honestly think that Azerbaijan will do anything it can to provide the best show possible. A bit of patience is needed of course.

No Sevda please, don't like her. Just because Azerbaijan won it doesn't mean it has to send cr*ppy songs after this. Someone modern, goodlooking with a good voice.

^ who is talking bout crappy songs? I want the song in Azeri. Surely ethnic and uptempo.

I want the song in Azerbaijani too, slightly ethnic slightly modern. I just don't like Sevda A, because 1) her songs are utterly boring, 2) she is not attractive (sorry LOOKS DO MATTER!)

Azerbaijan should send a song like "Always." It attracts to west and east, the oriental mixed with pop.

Btw, what is that arena called? I read that in "The Flame towers" there will be some part for opera. Maybe Eurovision can be there? When will it be finished?

Sorry, deese, but it is not going to happen.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be held in June, and to build a stadium like this you need at least 3-4 years. Chinese put an ARMY of workers to get the Beijing Bird's Nest stadium built quickly and still it took them 4 years to finish.
